My buddy's '86 Mustang GT and my '84 Trans Am.
It's weird, we've been good friends since we were 3 and we both ended up happening into 80's sports cars... mine was my dad's old car he had stopped driving and stored and his was a project his dad picked up and got bored with. We raced them once and even then I was just a little behind him... my car had an exhaust leak then. Now I'd imagine they're probably neck and neck. His car's a 5.0/t5/8.8 rear with mystery gears... I think it has a bit of blowby or he'd have destroyed my car.

As far as I know, Factory Aerocoupe, stock suspension, 88-90 Iroc Wheels all around.

 

i think its an illusion that makes it look higher up. i always had mixed feelings on the aerocoupes, in some perspectives it looks good, then other times it looks out of place. but they are few IIRC

The Charger looks a little bit different now with some vinyl graphics, OEM spoiler, Eibach Pro-Kit and some meatier tires.

 

love the charger, except the rims, they look very misplaced, oh well not my car =)

 

They're OEM, but they'll soon become my winter set, since the Charger is my DD. I'm thinking a set of Viper replicas, but they're becoming really popular and lots of people are using them now.



Other wise I might just pick up a set of used SRT-8 wheels.

 

If you look at the driveway lines, I was closer to the mustang which makes it look a lot bigger... Regardless, it is still taller then the formula.

 

4fishlimit- the new challengers i see have what look like torq thrusts twos on them, or at least something close to that. are those dealer order/optioned or something, if so why not see what those look like on a charger

 

Yeah, Mopar offers them as a Heritage Wheel option. I've never been a huge Torq Thrust fan, and while many other Charger owners have them, it's just not my cup of tea.

Both! I installed Everything from a 350 Formula into the Chevelle (motor, trans, Wiring, Dashboard, Steering box)), then I got a job offer here in TX and moved. I only need to install the fuel system to be able to run it.

its an 1986 model, the aerocoupe version #65 of 200 has just under 13k miles on it

 

i think another member had an aeorcoupe on this thread IIRC

 

Quite possible, they only made the aerocoupe version in 86 and 87. the 86 models are all identical and only 200 of those. the 87s were all different options and colors, still not many just 6052 of those made.
