Re: 1a Auto ABS Headliner Install
I had that same problem with mine, especially since I left out the sun visors (looks better without them). I drilled a small hole towards the front center of the headliner and into the sheet metal. Used a black screw. Holds headliner up nicely!! Can't hardly tell that the screw is there.
Ended up crap-canning my factory headliner board after removing it for the last time because it was badly water damaged due to leaking roof seals (and even the dryer duct tape wasn't helping, lol).

velcro would work better than screws

I'd rather not have to worry about the glue coming off (which has happened before as it does get pretty hot up here occasionally) and then the headliner sagging. And that would defeat the purpose of the buttons, which I would like to reinstall (with a different pattern).

if you get the good stuff...such as 3m it wont come off in the heat.
if the headliner didnt need to come off ever the 3m body panel/trim adhesive tape would keep it up there forever
the 3m spray glue is so sticky its ridiculous..there is no way itll ever sag with that stuff on it.

Re: 1a Auto ABS Headliner Install
I got one of these ABS headliners from Stock Interiors, and I have to say that the quality is kinda poor. I'm guessing it's the same ABS mold that all the other companies sell.
Why don't these headliners have the little clips at the front like the factory ones do? Mine is sagging right where those clips should be. If it had the clips, this would look so much better. Right now, I think I have a larger gap than the original one I had in there did.
I'm not too happy about it right now.

can anyone tell me how to get the ceiling console off? I found 2 screws in the light cavity but can't figure out how to get the rest of it off. Also have headliner I bought from a guy and I think it is an OEM cardboard one but there are no fasteners on it any ideas?

You have to push forward on the OH console to remove it.
