I like the Meguiars NXT 2.0 Techwax, expensive, but I had my girlfriend helping me, she has no experience with anything like that AT ALL, and it turned out nice.
You can apply it in direct sunlight, and it comes off fairly nicely.

For polishing, I use anything 3M, if you go to an auto body shop and ask them, they will steer you in the right direction.

anything out there that helps repel dust? just painted mine, and for some reason, it's a dust magnet now. i used meguires compound, polish, and their cleaner/wax product (no number on it) to finish.

I only use Meguiars Gold Class wash shampoo and conditioner to clean the car then a synthetic polish/sealant called "Race Glaze" to finish it off on my new paint job.(never wax)Just gently hand buff on ,let dry, then gently hand buff off. Here's what the paint looks like after two years of daily driving.

Meguiars NXT is awesome wax! However since your paint is still very new I would invest in some Wizards shine master.http://www.wizardsproducts.com/store...6-oz-p-17.html
Its safe on fresh paint. It doesnt chalk up and leave that flaky crap. Its good stuff.Car looks great btw!!!

i just gave in and got the nxt 2.0, after using almost every brand of wax/compound/polish imaginable, and wow, did a quick wax on wax off and it looks great. hopefully this solves my dust problem, but i think that problem is unavoidable where the car lives now.
