night shade tail lights or just leave stock?
i would like some opinions on my idea of spraying that night shade spray on my tail lights.
i have a factory gta with the original tail lights. in a perfect world i will buy new ones and paint my old ones and rock em. i would like to especially paint the reflector and just a light dusting on the rest as they already have a dark effect from the factory.
does anyone have a picture of 91 gta tail lights sprayed?
does anyone think i might live to regret this? i plan on keeping my car with 16'' black cross lace wheels and maybe a ram air hood in the near future. its all black.
i just dont want to find out years down the road i have to spend like 500buck to get new or even used ones!
what you guys think?

I know they are not the GTA taillights but here are mine that I did. I think it turned out pretty good.

People are still tinting tail lights? I quit doing that back in the 90's. Is it popular again?

Just be careful of the police. If memory serves, they didn't particularly care for it.

Re: night shade tail lights or just leave stock?
i emailed a guy today to see if he has tail lights for sale.
ive been thinking about this for a few years now but just havent done it because it seems sinful. it would actually cost me the price of a new set. money is better spent elsewhere. eg tint, seats, stall...
thanks for all the input. ive always made a point not to follow trends that will come and go with time or disrupt a this cars original apperence. these cars look great right from factory.

I have the grid Z28 lights.Should I mask the grid and only do the lenses themselves or do everything?

Re: night shade tail lights or just leave stock?
VHT Niteshades always looks really cheap to me... There never seems to be enough shine, or looks like a rough finish. Might be the person spraying them or preperation?
I have not done taillights on my car, but I have tinted other tails and various other lights for friends, and have my own "nightshades" mixed up into a spray can at Napa.
At my Napa I had them mix clear and gloss black 10:1 ratio into a spray can. Cost $15.99, then you can make them as dark or as light as you want (with multiple coats), and they are shiny as all hell!
Just a thought for you guys using the VHT... there is a quality alternative
