ha you kidding me , min was so low it sucked to be me , i had to jack the front up then place wood under when the rear hit , then jack up the rear , then put wood there , then the front again , then jack stands at lowest settine then same for rear , then notch by notch lift and set the jack stands , then it could have ramps slid under , and now im slapping a 1000lb motor and a 4l80e in it (btw its a 6.5 diesel) oh and im not saying yours isnt low , btw love the notch back , your rear looks great

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
lol ya , i kinda foresaw that , i might be going full frame , gonna be hard to do while staying low enough to look cool (or at least to me , btw i hate the look of a body kit , it doesent look nice on these , well maybe camaros , so i dont have that as an option , if not full frame then front section of frame replacing the subframe , either way ill be cutting the top off of the areas that would hit then fliping them and re welding them in lower , then ill spread the top into a v so it braces good , that way its still strong but also low , my suspensions so weak that even with no engine if i sit on the fender the thing almost bottoms out

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
Thanks! It's actually Brilliant Red. It is more of a Maroon color out in the sun. I'm running Moog Springs all around. I cut .75 off a coil up front and about half a coil in the rear. I will be cutting a tad more off the rear today. The next step is strut tower brace, adj panhard bar, sub frame connectors, relocation brakcets and etc.

Anyway. Before cutting your rear spring you might be able to remove in upper coil insulator, and just put a small section on heater hose directly on the coil spring to get the drop your looking for without chopping a spring.

Thanks BadNBlk! Yeahp they are 20" wheels. And nope, they are the same chrome wheels I have been running for a while.
I already removed the rear Isolator and wrapped it in heater hose, which did drop it about 3/4" lower. It still needs that additional 1/2-3/4" drop though. But, that's no problem since I have removed and reinstalled them so many times.Haha, I can remove, cut and reinstall the rear springs in under 10 minutes now.

Yes, in addition to 1" extended ball joints and 2" raised strut mounts. I will be getting drop spindles this winter to try and get my suspension geometry close to acceptable at this height. I'm also relocating my rear shock mounts 2" lower and will be C-notching my rear inner fender wells for axle tube clearance.

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
I still need to change a few things before I can drive it regularly. I'm going to go with stiffer springs, though its still up in the air though with exactly what speings rates i should go with. I need do a slight fender pull in the rear and roll the front fenders flatter, C-notch the rear inner fenderwell, and clearance the pinch weld in the front upper fenderwell, as well as redo my rear lower shock relocation brackets. My 240sx is this low and I daily it with no problems so we'll see if I can do it with the Camaro too.

Weird. The roads around here are absolute crap but I've never had issue with that. It's ingress and egress of parking lots, ramps, lots etc that makes me cringe. I scrape front end almost everywhere. :/

DBLTKE , I gotta say, I hate those SS wheels in their normal silver, but in black/competition gray they look great, and I've decided just now from seeing those pictures I think they look even better than your Y2k wheels on your car. They look incredibly good and I hate black wheels.

Ya before I took my engine out I was just half an inch above yours underneath but I was cheating , I had 3 broken coils on each spring , my exhaust hit when I first got in and when we went into (yes into) speed bumps , I had to get out and push up while my dad worked the trhotle and brake

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
Edit: oh I ment ground effects , your kit , your doors mainly look cool , not the way I'm going with mine but I'd love to run beside you on the highway , like a pack of wolves , I wanna do a running with the f-bodys or something sometime with some 3rd gen. .org members , maybe we could take turns being PAC leader(everyone gets a turn or something) then you could see everyone's car and take a big cross Continental road trip , when the fuel usage gets too much you can drop out and head home, I'm thinking we should use walkie talkies on a single band so we can request stops , what do you guys think , should I make a thread for this? If I do , I won't be able to participate till my cars on the road again , but I'm sure I could still help organize it , I'm thinking two laps and stops at different areas where members live , also you can request a stop near your house

Here's my road height. At the track, I can go lower. You can barely make out the LT's.

for some of you being so low, i would worry about ripping the oil pan off. had a friend in high school rip his of 3 times. though he did have hydraulics. and it was a astro van.....oops, i think i just dated myself.

sorry i just finished watching dumb and dumber.
