I've removed mine entirely. In fact the rear sits about 3/4" from where the bump stop used to mount. I'm going to section the bump stop mount and lower my shock mount to gain clearance and travel.

STOCK Vs Lowered

Stock fender Height should be over or around 27" Front and 27.5" rear estimation on new suspenion depending on how old your shock springs if there work could be lower than that

My ride height is 25" front and 25.5 rear

Love the stance on this one. Hoping to get my next Camaro about that low. I feel kind of dumb for asking but what are ISOs? Haha

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics

Rubber isolators that go on top of spring front and rear rear is thicker front it really doesn't matter if you take them out there already thin won't make a difference in lowering removing rear ISo and replacing with heater hose you can lower anywhere from 1/4in to 1/2in lower in the rear maybe more every camaro dif you cam get arid of some of the natural rake thirdgens have

No bags here, all static. I have Ground Control weight jacks with 800lb/200lb springs, Koni SA dampers, Founders raised strut mounts, Summit 1" extended ball joints, DA panhard bar, founders LCARB's, and no bump stops. Oh and I did test fit some ZR1's awhile back but I decided not to get them. 17's won't fit with the drop spindles that I'm going to get.

Rear window visor/ rear window deflector or roof spoiler. They look really good on S14 240SX's and the certain thirdgen Camaros can really pull it off.

Weight jacks, full down, sitting on the bump stops up front. Stock WS6 rear springs, didn't have the rear weight jacks in yet.

These were at 26.5ish" and 27". GCWJ, 850 front 175 rear, 8"/9" respectively. Getting an alignment (J&M strut mounts were put on too, want to see if it settles at all or changes amount of strut travel when everything's back in spec) and maybe going down half an inch to an inch more if I'll have enough travel to the bump stops. Running GC strut mounted jounce bumpers up front and stockers in the back.

I love the color combo of your car (Midnightfirews6). Probably my favorite non-stock looking 84 bird.

I agree! I genuinly don't like red. But the combo on that one sure looks awesome!

Btw, aftermarket or factory louvers? If not factory, could you pass me a part number? Thanks in advance!

What tire sizes are you running? I can get some C5 wheels relatively affordably, but it annoys me the weird tire sizing issues they have. To get a tire that's stock height you have to go with a 245 in the front... or you can go wider and have a front tire that's taller than the rear but not as wide.... just gets weird. Anyway I ask because yours looks great.

Thanks man! They're non factory Cragar 3 pieces. They're definitely 20 footers haha, need to find another set or fix a small crack on one of the edges, get new hardware and re-paint them. Craigslist or the classifieds on here are your best bet to find them, they usually go around $300. If you get a set be careful, the middle pieces are aluminum but the sides are plastic and might be somewhat brittle Also make sure you get or make hardware for them!

Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics-2013042095215140-1-1-.jpg

Got my front suspension installed last night. Took a couple pics of it with the weight jacks all the way down. Haven't installed the rears yet, need to buy more parts.

850 GC weight jacks
Koni Yellows
Hotpart/J&M products caster/camber plates
New del-a-lum bushings and Moog ball joints

itsmikey, dbltake, and any others that low, what are you doing for clearance for suspension travel? Removed liners? Any adverse effects of removing them, like dirt, moisture, and road grime in places you don't want it? Not sure if i'm going to go slammed, it may be too low for best handling geometry.

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics

Suspension travel on these cars is a bit of an issue when going that low. Ideally, you really need drop spindles to be able to get enough travel. I removed my fender liners and dirt and debris certainly does get back towards the door hinges so make sure to keep those lubed regularly. I plan on cutting the liners up and only retaining the rearward portion to prevent that. the next issue is that if you haven't removed them yet, you'll be riding on the bump stops. Once those are out then, you have another issue of not having very much travel before the A-arms actually contact the crossmember. Of course, really stiff spring rates can kind of band aid that problem. But drop spindles will move the A-arm down enough to not have any clearance issues. As far as handling compromises go, to me it doesn't feel that its as much of an issue as many people make it out to be. Since you're running a decent spring rate you won't have as much compression as someone that's running say a 650 or 700lb spring so you won't get nearly as much positive camber gain. I've autocrosses my car at several different heights and alignment specs and if you're running a lot of static negative camber and as much positive caster that you can get, then you're really not going to notice the positive camber gain.

fenwick , I say go with a 18/19 setup! As far as rubber sometihng like a 255 front and 275ish rear. But the wider the better! IMO (to a certain point)

Do 18s, I have 19s on the car and I always kinda wished they were 18s. 19 is barely too big imo. plus with 18s you can have more sidewall and a better ride as a result.

I've got staggered 18/19 and I'd rather have 19/19.

A little late but it's called a SolarWing II from GTS. The slammed pic was before coilover conversion and my sig shows after coilover conversion.

Anyway I ask because yours looks great.
Im on Dunlop 275 rears and 245 fronts. I love C5 wagon wheels because people practically give them away, and I think they can work on our cars.

Just setting height, the pair is going on this weekend. I'll see how low I can go. But they do need a wash, lol.

4th gen front shock/front suspension setup is very different then 3rd gen strut setup..

Thats a coil over setup that is used in conjuction with strut hence the threaded coil sleeve "blue"

Idk what you implying with your post
I know that's a coilover setup for thirdgen your and the pic above that

4th and 3rd gen spindle is different ... As is front shock setup

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camaro-Firebird-KYB-Adjustable-Shocks-Struts-Used-Front-Rear-/380667272700?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2000%7CModel%3ACamaro&hash=item58a1899dfc&vxp=mtr

But very nice setups
I've been contemplating using coil over for the front

The only thing I don't like is you loose some clearance for wide wheels

Yours looks like qa1 setup correct ?

This. The struts are Lakewoob 90/10s. I'm cutting the springs in the rear.
