Different Z28 wings...

Does anyone know the reason some 91 z28s seem to have a rear wing with two center supports, while others have a rear wing that does not? I was wondering if it was a model change or just an optional difference...

Re: Different Z28 wings...

The high rise spoiler was only available on the 91-92 Z28's. GM never made a factory spoiler without the two center supports, so anything else you may have seen could be after market.

That's weird... I ran the vin through Carfax of one I am looking at right now and it came up as a 1991 Z28. The wing on the back looks factory, but does not have the center supports.

They probably shaved it off for a custom look.

Go look at your car, it mounts on the two inner sections. I think it would look good but I'm curious how they did it

The Z28 is an option package that can only be proven with the RPO codes. Its not denoted in the VIN anywhere.

About the only mechanical thing the VIN will tell you is which engine its supposed to have.
