those with "aero" wings
I removed my "aero" wing/fin off my 91 Trans Am to get it painted. When I got it to the body shop, the guy asked me if I needed a gasket to put back in between the fin and the car, and thats when it hit me that there wasn't one. Does yours have a gasket?

My 87 does not have one and I have also removed one on an 88 that did not have any gasket.... Not the exact same year as yours, but might help ya......

Fantastic, so the rubbery type sealant that I found on the bolts that hold the fin down is the only weatherproofing.
Anyone have any ideas what to replace this with?

I made a gasket from campershell weatherstrip tape (found at pretty much any hardware or auto store) the 1st time I took my aero wing on & put it back on,, did the same thing for the camaro high-rise that's on my bird now.
