Possible to make Z spolier a BIT higher?

I really like the Z spoiler...will be getting one when I get my car ready to paint...but I really wish it was a little bit higher (1/2 to 1 inch higher) Do you think it would be possible to use fiberglass to make a sort of a wedge or an extension to each of the four sections? If its too much trouble i'll just keep it as is. Its not that i dont like it or anything.

Well actually I do like that one....but Im not sure it would look good with an SS hood. I was actually talking about the Z28 high rise spoiler....on 91-92 Z28s. I dont think that one above is made anymore.

Ugh...in some angles it looks perfect...in others it looks too da*n low. So is it not worth the trouble?

One big problem though, the sides are bolted and screwed down to the decklid as well.It would be a pain in the a$$,not only do you have to add on to the 2 middle posts but you'd have to do it to the sides too and add longer bolts/screws.

I'll agree and say the stock spoiler for the 91/92 Z is already high enough.

Gib Sandwich - Is that your red car? If so how did you extend the spoiler??

Hey is it possible to cut out the middle bars of the z28 spoiler, and just have the side ones? I know the middle ones are there because if you had the side ones connect you wouldnt be able to open the hatch, but in pics or in person it looks like the z28 spoiler is attatched to the lid also

The red one is American Sports Car Design's IROC spoiler. I like it!
