AHHHHH SOMEONE HIT ME!!!!! =(

I was going to school this morning... and there's a 2 lane road in front of the IGA store... I always drop my sister off there... there was no traffic... I pull around behind the truck to go in the parking lot and the truck backs up over me. Wasn't my fault. He didnt' even look back. Just backed up in the lane while I was coming across... I wasn't hurt though and at least it was just my door...

Damn.. that sucks.. I don't know what you plan to do with it but you might want to consider a new door rather than having it fixed (even if possible) as I had my windows smashed over a year ago and am still picking glass out of the car on a daily basis..

yeah i'm definently getting a new door out of this... we both had insurance and he admitted to it being his fault to the police officers... and the paint is badly messed up too so maybe i can get a cheap paint job out of it... then later on when i get a new hood and small body work on the back done then i'll get a better paintjob... i'm skipping school today because of this so don't tell anyone

If you are going to do a hood and paint anyway now is the time to do it with the insurance money. The body shop will charge the insurance company "TOP" dollar for the repair work. Have the insurance cut you a check directly. DO NOT LET THEM PAY THE BODY SHOP. Then negotiate the best estimate for a cash job; maybe at another body shop, and get all the work done. A guy dented my son's Honda Prelude right front fender and he got a check for $1000.00 from insurance directly to us. We fixed the fender ourselves and he pocketed the money. Also, I didn't see your pix, but if you have alloy wheels have any damage to the wheels added to the estimate. Also a front end alignment and door alignment. Every little bit helps. The key is to get the check made directly to you not the bodyshop. If they say they can't do that then go somewhere else. It is the law. It is your money not the bodyshops. If an adjuster comes out and you dispute the amount he wants to pay then take it to a LARGE respectable bodyshop and get an estimate. The adjuster works for the insurance company and may try to go cheap. E-mail me directly if you have any other questions. This is one of those things you have to get right the first time because significant money can be involved. Good Luck!

There's three ways to fix it:

1. bondo
2. skin replacement
3. shell

By the looks of the damage, it looks like you gotta do the shell. When my blazer and my lesabre got struck (very similar to this) they only wanted to replace the skin. I told them that internal damage was too much and any supporting braces are bad and unsafe. They looked shock that I knew about "supporting braces" and replaced the shells. Now...I dont know too much on the internal of the camaros.

Good Luck.
