I ask this because I was moving to a new place and only had a borrowed truck for half a day, so I used it to take couches, tables, beds ect. At the end of the day the last big thing I had left was my tv. With my firebird my only transportation I decided to try and fit it in. I forgot to take pictures, but I can confirm that a 50 inch Plasma TV will fit in the back seats..... Just. Whats the biggest thing youve put in your thirdgen?

 

I gave my brother and 3 of his friends a ride in it once. My brother was riding shotgun and his 3 friends (2 of which were at least 200lbs and 6' tall) were in the back seat. The largest nonorganic thing I've fit in my car was a trofee that was over 4' tall.

Me= 6'2" 245lbs. My bestfriend= 6'5" 330lbs. Friend= 6'8" 230lbs. Friend= 5'11" 250lbs. And a little friend who is 5'8" 130lbs. And yes, all in the car at the same time lol

Ive had me 5'9 180 pounds,buddy 6,1 190, another buddy 6'4 230 pounds, and a kid that was 5'9 and 179. And a 15 inch sub box and a ton of car parts from the junkyard

 

My entire keyboard setup including an amp that's 28x26x13inches, two keyboards, and a large bag of cables. That amp also fits perfectly in the back of a c4. Fit a whole drum kit into a fourthgen once, and another time fit a boxed futon that wouldnt fit through the door of a guy's sunfire.

 

This thread really stirs some memories of high school. '86 IROC.

Several times I had 6 people in the car, 2 front, 4 in back (1 laid across the other 3). Mostly chicks in back - they are small. LOL.

I've done some other things in the car requiring "contorsionism" but I can't mention them here.

 

Three tier Cat tree, we tried it three different ways and folded seats down. But if you know what a Cat tree is, all levels are at a different angle. Finally got it in and he said it might break your rear window. I said I had insurance and drove the 30 minutes home!! Those things cost about $250.00 and it was like new! Got a great deal on it!!

 

Myself, 4 wheels, 2 fenders, a TH400, a jack, 2 ramps, 3 jack stands and a small jack.

a 26" old style tube tv IN THE BOX! Had the hatch open, but got it home! (could NEVER have gotten that in my sedan!)

 

biggest single thing was the louvers when i saved them from the junkyard, but the most i fit was an entire interior from an 89 that replaced the original interior of my 92

Let's see.... I fit a full-size Pearl drumset with 3 extra toms and 2 additional cymbals once... I've fit myself and 4 others on trips here and there... I routinely put a plastic sheet down so I can fit 8 foot hardwood boards in to take to my woodshop. I probably need a truck... :P

EVERYTHING I OWNED! When I joined the military and drove it from the East Coast to the West Coast! It was my first car, a '88 Firebird Formula blue - MINT CONDITION! I was 18 y/o! The back was literally packed and I drove with 1 arm up holding up the mountain of possessions I had in the passenger seat! I got pulled over once in every state...NO TICKET received! I blew the water pump in Texas...the girls there LOVED the accent I don't have! And the alternator in...Joplin, Missouri? That was a wild night while it was getting repaired...It was like: Jersey Shore meets Rodeo! Got out to the desert and had to deploy so it sat in a parking lot with my entire life in it for months. My CDs melted! It was a mess. I miss that car, it was in such great shape, it got stolen in 2000! Soon I'll be retiring and plan on heading BACK east with everything I own in a '89 Firebird Formula...I'm not sure if that is sad or awesome?! Ashes to ashes!

 

The back of a camaro can fit several 4 x 8 sheets of plywood or drywall....i have also hauled 15 ft long 6x6's (5 1/2" square ) posts and my bass amp cabinet approx.2 x 3 x 4ft......I am sure there is plenty more over the past 29 yrs....

 

Once i fit a set of vette rims in the back. barely closed as the spacing aint all that much. i believe they were the 18x9.5 front rims. and the 19x11s sat in my back seats haha.
also hauled around 6 6 foot tables from work to my house. they were free and going into the trash so i threw what i could in the trunk haha. i tore my tint in a few places too. was only a month old haha
last but not least was about 100 pool noodles also from work we just had laying around. and like 50 sets of connector foam peices. i couldnt see out my rearview or my passenger window. was a fun ride

 

I once fit 2, 4ft standing speakers, a smaller 3 foot speaker and a receiver. then a twin size mattress. it fit inside with the hatch closed, just don't look right!

everything needed to paint a house including a 12' latter 20 gal of paint all the brushes drops tape rollers my self 6'3" 190 and my brother 6'1" 200 i had the top back with the latter sticking out i wasnt happy about it but my truck had broke down and needed the stuff out of the house i had painted

 

the PO of my car, my remodelling boss "told" me he put 12 sheets of drywall in the back. (a one time thing) that would be 900 lbs. ouch poor baby..it was probably like 8 though, he is a classic exaggerator.

I put my bass drum on the front passenger seat and it *just* fit... maybe your bass is bigger than mine.

 

A set of 4th gen seats in addition to the 3rdgen seats that were still in there at the time. There was room for more though.

 

2 33x12.5x15" Trxus AT Truck Tires. Needless to say I barely fit in there lol.

Largest item ive had in it was a loading ramp from a heavy duty equipment trailer. It had fallen off a trailer and i saw it on the side of the road. It was exactly what i needed for loading bikes and things into my truck so I had to stop and get it. About 5-6' by 2' and 200lbs of steel. I put the back seat down and slid the passenger seat forward all the way and put it in through the hatch...

Scratched my rear plastics though =/

 

I once gave my old former roomate a ride home from his job. He was around 400 Lbs. but biggest item was prob a chrismas tree.

I'm sure I am forgetting some things... put the passenger seat all the way back, the back seat down and open the hatch and you can fit some really long pieces of wood or whatever. These cars can be adjusted to fit a ton of stuff in them, you would be surprised...

 

I haven't really put anything in mine thats huge, the biggest thing ive put in was the cargo cover thingy.

 

You basically fit a whole honda in there!

I brought home my 125g fish tank. It is 6' x 1.5' x 2'. I once moved an entire waterbed w/headliner in my old '88 Formula.

 

I didnt expect this, but my new front chin spoiler piece barely fit into the car. It was in a box, which severely limited my options to get it to fit. In the end it did, though.

Other than that, a 2x12 guitar speaker cabinet.

 

I fit my son's crib in the back of my car the other day. It was a tight fit.
