I am thinking about getting my car tinted this week, but would like to know what it would sort of look like before I do it. Does anyone have any good pics of cars that are tinted. I am thinking 5% in the back and 35% on the sides.

<FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Tahoma"><font color="#000000"><font size=2>Matthew: I had my windows tinted earlier this past spring. I started out with 20% on the rear and 35% on the sides. Well, honestly, the 35% just didn't match the rear or the tint on my t-tops. I went back the next day and had them rip it off and put on the 20%. It's really not that dark, but I'm sure it's still not "legal". Oh well...it sure looks better! Also the tint looks lighter/darker depending on the lighting, but in my opinion the 35% was like having no tint at all.

i have 35% on my car. It depends on how the light is hitting it. It looks good though. Its the damn legal limit here in MS. Oh yeah, the new tint is pictured at the bottom of the page. The top pictures are with the old tint.

Prime- what yellow is that? I just saw your car for the first time today and I already love it! I was hoping someone with a yellow thirdgen would reply. Mine is yellow too, but its a lighter yellow.

Here are 2 pics of mine. I have 5% on the rear window and 15% on the sides, Im not sure of Oregon's laws but I havent been hassled about it yet. It was installed on the car by the previous owner, and Im not gonna take it off!

Without worrying about legal limits whats the best percentage to go with so you can see out easily, and no one can see in, (without cupping their hands around their eyes) reason being, I have a nice stereo system, and dual 10" he2's in the rear, with a punch 1000.1, & punch 400.4. I dont want everyone and their mothers looking into my ride.
I was thinking limo tint, but that'll just get in the way of normal driving.

I've got two layers of 5% tint on my GTA.. don't have many pics of it... i'll check when I get home from work though. It's REALLY dark.. just about impossible to see out the back @ night..

Thanks I appreciate the comments. The color is 1996 Comp. Yellow. In person it kinda has a oranish tint to it under artifishal light.

Did you use translucent tinted paint on your tail lights. It didn't look like you had black-outs to me.

I have 3.5% on my street car its really dark. too dark sometimes but ive had it for a year now and ive never been pulled over for it. It makes the car look alot better and really helps out with the summer sun here in FL i dont have any close pics but ill try to get out there today and get some you can see the back window with the link on my sig
