Flames

What do ya'll thing about flames on third gen camaros? I am going to get my 84 painted (eventually), and am considering several different color schemes, from basic black (gloss, of course), to a fade from dark blue to black on the bottom, to something with stripes. I am also considering perhaps sapphire blue with black and silver flames. Opinions?

Hey, i'm from St. Augustine where are you in jax? Do you post at NFFB.org? Anyway, im my opinion flames are better left to older "muscle cars". however some look good, there's that guy on here with the black 'maro with flames that looks good. i dont know... .

I think that white ghost flames on a dark color look really good. I saw a car at a show that had really subtle blue and white ghost flames on a black car and it looked awesome.

I put flames on almost everything that I own. From my snowboard, to my helmet, to my T/A. I love flames, and draw them all the time. Just be careful on the design. I've seen some pretty nasty flame jobs, even on high dollar show cars.

Flames look good if done right imho, but like crap if done badly. My suggestion would be to go to an indoor type roadster show and look at some of the cars there. Find a few that have nice flame jobs, track down the cars owner, and find out who did the flame job. Or else call around to some body shops in your area that specialize in restorations and ask them who is good in the area, then look at some of that persons work before having yours done.

i like the second car the but i think the firsts ones job is a little overdone. i think black with ghost flames on a cowl hood is sick, there are 2 mustang's in my town that have flames on there hoods they look real nice
