Where did you manage to find a place to put two mufflers right next too each other??? Also, who did the bends for you (I assume mandrel)?

The mufflers are Moroso Spiral mufflers. They are about one foot long each and about 4" in diameter, so they fit nicely under the car. Don't get me wrong...it is LOUD, but it sounds good and looks good. The exhaust was done at a friend of mine's house. We got a bunch of mandrel bends and fabricated it all.

Did you put the driver side pipe where it's normally routed under the oil pan in a y-pipe formation, or how did you run it?

Yes, the driver's side is in the stock location...between the subframe and the oil pan. The exhaust will clear a stock oil pan, but I have a Moroso 7qt. pan and I had to notch the pan to clear the exhaust.

You need to bring that car over here, to the woodlands, and then come by my house, so we can take some 3.3 megapixel digital pictures of it. Believe me, the camera would do that car some justice.

Wow! CarNDrvr, I didn't know you were from Texas too. I am from Houston. I bought my IROC about 3 years ago from an ad on thirdgen.org and have never had any money to do anything with it until I started up my own company this last year. Since, I have been able to do what I have always wanted - Viper Blue w/3" cowl hood, hi rise spoiler and white racing stripes. Come to find out you have basically the same setup! Your car looks killer, dude. I have been trying to get my hands on a good camera to take some pictures of my IROC for you guys to see. So, Sonar_un, if you are willing I would like to drive down and have you get a few shots of the IROC to post up here. I am very proud of it (especially after having it look stock for so long!). Once again, CarNDrvr, FABULOUS ride!

The exhaust was totally hand fabricated. We used the stock hanger in the back, but we welded a bracket on the the pipes and bolted it to the frame. You are welcome to come on up and see it. I live about 40 miles north of Dallas.

That is the factory blue paint for that year. In fact, it is the origional paint except for the hood, wing, and nose. Can someone photoshop that first picture and take those lines out. I think they are a glare from the sun hitting the fender. Thanks.

Mr. CarNDriver, i do believe i have met you on at least one occassion, I recall a time when you bought somthing from National Tire and Battery on Inwood ln. in Irving (i think you were requesting prices for some pirelli P-Zero's). I used to live on Macaurther Blvd near the Dallas Stars practice facility. Anyway i worked at NTB about 2 yrs ago, I do recall talking to you on at least one occassion, however i seem to remember a time when the car wasnt that color blue. Could it be that i have met you before ?????? OH YEA and for you guys who wanna know how loud it is, it rattled the windows at the store i used to work, it even knocked a poster off the wall !!!!!

That might have been me. I have Pirelli P7000's on it now. The car has always been blue though. It is the origional paint. And the stock wheels are 16x8. I don't know if Boyd makes these wheels in 18".

Hey CarnDrv.. you still selling your ride?? I remmember a while back you ran into finacial probs (if memory serves) and wanted to sell it .. You get past that? I hope so, because it would be such a shame to get rid of such a gorgious car (unless you waited untill I've saved up the cast to buy it, of coarse).. :>

Those gauges don't get in the way at all. Autometer sells a 1,2,or 3 gauge pod. My set up consists of a 1 and a 2. I already had a single mounted there, then added the dual later. I did have financial trouble in the past, but I am past that now. I will let everyone know that the car is for sale again though. I don't really want to sell it, but I am looking into another project and this one may have to go if I decide on the other one. I have owned 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen camaros, and now I think I might want to get a 1st gen and basically copy this one, but in the 1st gen body style. I want to make it a G-machine with a nice stout motor and a 6-speed tranny. I would probably even use the same wheels. If anyone is interested, I would want somewhere in the $10,000 range as is. I would take less if I kept the motor and/or wheels. Read my sig for more details on the car. If interested, email me at CarNDrvr@aol.com. Thanks guys!

If I had $10,000 to my name I'd be at your door right now. Unfortunatly I'm 16 and broke so I'll keep dreaming. I can't see anything on your car I would change if I had all the money in the world. I might have to get me those wheels too.

Great job,

CarNDrvr...

You are probably tired of getting compliments on your car, but here's one more...I wish I had the $10 grand for you...I'd camp out on your doorstep, so I could buy the car first thing in the morning. Just out of curiosity...how much did you spend on the car?(if you are willing to say) What does it run in the quarter mile again? I remember you posted once, but i dont remmeber what it was. I have roughly $18-20K in the car. I have only ever had an 1/8 mile timeslip on it, which does not begin to tell what this car can do since I spun half way down the track, but it was an 8.58 @ 88mph with a 2.29 60ft. on motor. I figure with traction it would be good for low 12's at 113-115mph on motor. I have never used the NOS yet. In fact, I still isn't even hooked up. I have beaten many 12sec. cars on the street. My MPH is very high, which means the car has good horsepower, just NO traction.

Yes the car was origionally a 5-speed. I had to change the clutch master cynlinder/slave cylinder set up when I put the 6-speed in. Luckily, all that came with the tranny. Here is the butt shot that you wanted.

First off, you're car is so badass man...i envy you...but i have to ask something...that last pic of the set looks to be fake. Those pipes do not look real at all for some reason..maybe its just the quality of the picture but on my computer they look totally fake...dont wanna come off as a **** , but just wanted to point that out...cool car man

LOLOLOL...well, the pipes are real. Look in every other picture taken. They are there. I am no photoshoper...I don't even have photoshop. I guess I might have to go to an event so everyone can see the car in person.

I bet it is because there is no shadow in that picture. The sun was behind me and the shadow was all the way under the car.

CarNDrvr didn't you have a pic of your exhaust taken from under your car? I'm thinking i had seen one or maybe it was someone else's car.

No, I haven't taken any pictures from under the car. All I have is what everyone has seen.

I haven't had any trouble with the cops yet. From what people have been telling me, it is not that bad from the outside. It sounds about as loud as some of these 4th gen cars running around with Borla exhaust with no baffles in them. It is loud in the car, but that may just be because the exhaust is beside me instead of behind me.

AWESOME. Love that cowl hood. I'd also like to see the exhaust underside.

If you are just going to sell it, I don't see why you cannot post a pictre of the way your exhaust is set up

By the way, does your car have single or dual cats?
