I like the color of my IROC, Code 23 "IROC Blue" metallic.

I never liked black on third gen Camaros because it doesn't seem to give to the car any dimension... it just doesn't give its shape justice.

Black, baby! It's the only way to go. I have never seen ANY car look more bad@ss than a black Camaro. Add dark tint and classy looking 17" rims to the equation and you're looking at one awesome piece of American iron. On the flip side though, black is a bitch to keep clean and scratchless.

Yeah, its true black doesn't give its shape justice. The lighter the color the more you can make out the shape and the lines of the car. I personally love red, or maroon, although I do have a black IROC. If I had choice to repaint, it would probably be bright red.

My IROC is silver--I've never personally seen another of that color. Though black's sweet, I wouldn't swap. E-mail me for pics should you be interested. By the way, it's your car, matty350, and you should do what pleases you, but changing colors is very difficult to do if you wish a thorough job.

I really liked my stock dark metallic red, but i'm definately partial to any color candy. specially the red candy.

black is a sweet color, but i agree when it doesn't show the lines of our cars; where as too light of a color can have a negative effect.

I think you should go with the color you like, that way you'll be happy and that's the most important thing.

I agree with leirch and Kandied91z
on the metallic red. I drive an 88 IROC-Z that looks almost identically to Leirch's. It looks great. I put some Cragar rims on it and it really turns heads. But also, dont let us talk you into a color, do what you want. Good luck choosing, third gen's look good in just about anything if you ask me.

I know im probably going to get flamed for this, but maybe you could try something original and paint your iroc a color that wasnt available, like maybe yellow, (not the banana yellow) or green, i dunno just a thought, id like to see bright yellow iroc

Although black is cool, there seems to be too many people with them, so I say try something new.
Go down to an auto shop and have a look at some of those paint boards they have at the back.
Some of the other manufacturer's colors can look pretty damn sharp on other cars.
I recommend Mitsubishi's Azure Blue it looks really dark and good, with some tints, beautiful!

Lets see....no!! A Bright Red IROC-Z with the offset headlight pockets, hood louvers, stripes and everyting else with that nice color on 1 of those cars, IMO is the best. Also, the years of the IROC-Z, 85-90, that color was the most produced, probably because of this car. Not my car.

Black is nice, but not for long unless you really really baby the car. And listen to all of these people saying black, too many people with black cars, I would go for something different like the silver.

Personally I like black. It is a pain to keep clean and keep scratches off, but nothing can out do it once it's polished up and clean. I don't think anything looks better clean than a black car (Nicely painted black, not some faded crap, lol.) And at night, well, it just looks sweet.

Hey, or if you want something different, you could do one of the fade colors from silver to black. Not from top to bottom, but at a ***** . I've seen it on one car, and it looked pretty sweet, with like a blue outlining the gap between black and silver. Or go old style (which I also like) and paint it Hugger Orange

or any cool custom job. there are way too many paint colors out there to chose. go look at PPG, house of kolor, and anywhere else you can find custom paints. Im sure you could come up with some cool looking paint scheme.

Make sure it is a convertible with a black top. Dont forget the dark windew tint. This will be my next car, and you will like it.
