So I remember seeing pics of this sick looking blacked out TA with gloss black stripes. I think it was a notch back I remember reading it was a turbo.

Any leads would be great. I'm looking for some detailed pics and info.

yea, i'm not a fan of body kits either, but notice how it integrates with the original upper portion of the ground effects. its just a well done car in and out! No matter what your tastes are (mine are more stock appearing) you cant deny its a beautiful car!

 

I just ran across this completely by accident, HOLY CRAP. I gotta say, I too am more in favor of the stock look, but this car, its the cleanest mod that I've seen. Someone must have poured serious money into the car and IMO, worth every penny. From what I can see in the pictures -- digital dash (obviously), UQ7 speaker options, and the auto day/night mirror that came out with those cars.... one of the coolest things I think are the tail lights.

Read through it, build thread and the owner talks about the car a couple of times.

 

I like all of the engineering that went into that car. the body kit, IMO, is way over the top. all of the engineering, performance, and trick-ness of this car could have been pulled off without the body kit, and it would have been a nicer ride.

GTS solar wing. Please let it die. Worst mod ever, that car would look so much better without it.

haha I like the solar wings as well, is there anyplace you can buy that front bumper? I've liked through all the body kit fourms on here, and hate that duraflex extreem one, makes me want to hang a car with it on.... but the front bumper on this is ba... anywhere I could get one??

 

judging by where it is installed and inferring from the name "solar wing" it is supposed to block direct sunlight from causing discomfort to passengers in the rear seats , and/or possibly protect the rear seats from sun damage. doesnt do anything good for the look of the car though.

the front bumper on the blacked out TA is ugly. looks like wanna-be BMW grilles.

 

The rear bumper looks cool but the front bumper is not my style. I like how it has cut outs in the rear for exhaust tips. Any info on the bumpers?

 

Wow!!!! This cars awesome. Best looking flat black car ever. Love the interior too. My only criticism is the gts solar wing, but thats just a matter of personal taste.

 

The rear bumper doesn't go with the rest of the car (especially side view), but the exhaust looks good sticking out.

I think the (dare I say) rear window louvers that people put on their 2nd Gens and early 3rd gens look better than the Solar Wing.

I never understood the draw to flat paint. I would never own a rat rod in unpainted or flat paint. It would have to be gloss painted.

Not crazy about the front bumper either. Keep it mostly stock looking with the go-fast goodies underneath. I still am not crazy about the Ram Air 4th gen hoods on 3rd gens. Or for that matter , 4th gen TA GT spoilers on 3rd gens (they stick up too far and contrast with the square tail light area.)

Now that I managed to p*** people off, I should be quiet.

I agree with you on everything but the 4th gen hood lol after really looking at the rear bumper your right, the only think I liked was the exhaust part of it. Wondering if anyone has modded their stock bumper for exhaust tips.

If anyone mods their car for racing, in my opinion, it should be done as clean as this car was. And the only way I think that 4th gen hoods look good, and I mean really good is with the 91-92 front bumpers. I think I might do that to a T/A one day.

 

I like the hood, I will have to try and find that sucker.

Damn it... Spent weeks sanding/prepping the car for gloss black and bought my paint only to see this and realize how awesome my car would have looked with just some black plastidip...

Wow generally not a huge 3rd gen Trans am fan. But god damn that's nice. A few things I would change for personal taste. None the less very nice

Wow, very nice...I have never heard of the solar wing..will be buying one of those makes it look sleek in my opinion. I too am interested in the front led lights. Anybody know what brand? Also never thought I would like tach on the dash but wow again...Love it
