I bought mine sort of through ebay. I was the high bidder for $7500 this past May but did not meet the reserve. He said he wanted $9k or $9500. He said he had 2 other people really serious about buying it.
Well a month later, he emailed me and said the other 2 people never contacted him and we made a deal for $8k and he met me in Houston.
The seller mentioned just about everything but did miss on 3 items: quarter size dent on front quarter panel, missing passenger side seat belt holder (that goes on seat) and a small crack in the auto shift plate. Other than that it was just as he described. I have been very happy with it.
As for deals online, yes you do get better deals there but buyer beware as ask for tons of pics and tons of questions. The sellers that are willing to send pics, even videos, and answer every question in detail, go for it.
But if the are slow and the pics aren't clear and they are answers are somewhat questionable, shy away. There are always plenty of nice cars out there and most sellers want to show off their cars' good and bad points and sell it to a good home.
Also, a little luck has to be involved as if you are looking for a particular car and it is in your area, as mine was, (within 300 miles), you will save yourself at least $700 on shipping.
Hope this helps!!!

I feel ebay is the best place to find the deals, its just depends where its located at and if you want to drive that far to pick it up.

Yep, I sold it locally. I still have it...I am waiting on funds to get transferred from out of the country. He has already given me $3K...still owes me the rest...and just so everyone knows...it sold for more than $7,500.
