I used to have one when i was in high school, had a secret love for that color and my current Z is in need of a new paint job, so that being said, I'm debating repainting my '87 Z/28 T-top, the same brown that my old '82 Z/28 was.
Only issue is, I don't have any pictures of a brown Z/28 in good condition, so if anyone has a brown Z, lets see them!! I'm assuming they're pretty rare too.

I like the built in mud flaps. I'm also a sucker for louvers, even the icky 3-piece sets.

That finish is almost TOO shiny.

 

Those first two pics appear to be Dk. Gold. The '82-'84 Z28's Dk. Gold always got the gold trim and the brown cars got silver trim.

My brown Z28 addition was THE car of choice for me. 1984 H.O. Z28 hardtop. Not my car by any means but the choice of everything in the high school parking lot. Pic taken March 1986.

 

burnish brown was a good color on the firstgens.

 

i ordered a new 1984 brown with the high output engine. took 8 weeks and 1 day to arrive. i believe it was about $14,000 it was loaded out.
