Looking for Rear Glass Louvers

I've got an '87 Z-28 that I've had for almost 7 years (first car...I lucked up). I had every intent of fixing it up when I got it, but didn't have the money when I was in college (managed to get it painted) but now I've got a bit to spend on some things I want/need.

I've been trying to find louvers for the rear glass and everything I've found has been for older models or is entirely too expensive. Anybody know where there's some reasonable priced ones at? Black or white...I'm thinking white would look best on my car but I can always paint whatever I can get.
Any information is appreciated, thanks guys!

They only came in black. Any that you see with a color were painted. Your best bet is to keep looking for a factory set. They have the best fit, not as rattle prone and look better.

I was pretty sure they came in black.

I'm stuck with a set of factory louvers I bought. For a steal. Alas, no mounting hardware. So I am SOL right now. :/

Ahh I've been looking hard as well. I seen a shadow something set of louvers on Ebay going for 1,000$ before. I think its still up there, they must be crazy. Usually I find beat up sets without the mounting hardware. I knew how to make it because I really like the style the louvers add to the car.

Whoa, I missed a word there. I meant "I wish I knew how to make it", as in the mounting hardware, my bad. I find it easier to actually find cars with louvers already on then ask if they'd part with them and the hardware. There was a car I saw near the end of summer with a set with the 3rd brake light but the seller never answered my emails. They seem really tough to come by these days

Re: Looking for Rear Glass Louvers

Well ****. Apparently missed on a possible deal. Sonovabitch.

I used to HATE the way louvers made camaros look. I think I had only seen one that I though looked nice, but honestly, the ones I had seen before that probably hadn't been equipped with louvers specifically for that car, it was probably jerry rigged.
I recently bought a set of seats off Ebay for a great price and my dad had suggested the louvers to keep the sun from fading/dry rotting the back seats like the original ones had done. I believe I'm more open to the idea now than I was a few years ago. Especially if I get some and paint 'em white, pretty sure my car would look awesome like that.
