IT REALLY IS JUST ABOUT AS SIMPLE AS CLICKING ON THE CAR YOU LIKE BEST, AND MOST OF LIST OF RULES BELOW PERTAIN PRIMARILY TO THE NOMINEES, BUT PLEASE HELP PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE Thirdgen.org CAR OF THE MONTH PROGRAM BY READING AND UNDERSTANDING THE COTM VOTING RULES BEFORE PROCEEDING.
This thread is a Car of the Month **Voting Thread**. To participate in the voting, simply click on your choice in the attached poll. Please observe the following list of rules if you are going to participate. Remember, we must protect the integrity of the contest so that the most deserving Members win.
If you are nominated, you CAN vote for your own car.
If you are nominated, do not ask people to register as TGO Members for the sole purpose of voting for your car.
Do not use multiple member accounts to vote for any car (including your own) more than once or to vote for more than one car.
Do not use photo -edited images to represent your car.
If you are a nominee, please DO post abundant photos (exterior, interior, engine) and technical & historical data. When threads are started on other websites advising members there to come to TGO to vote for a mutual member of both sites, it is usually NOT good for the integrity of the TGO COTM program.
Thank you for the nomination. My '89 IROC is a factory fresh, all original, non-modified survivor with only 14,100 miles on the clock. It is a three owner car that has been meticulously maintained over the past 26 years. This car is original from the radiator hoses down to the factory Gatorback ZR50's which were replaced but not discarded only weeks ago. The car rides and handles like the day it left the dealer showroom and the L98 TPI power plant delivers reliable power to the new BFG 245/50ZR/16 Pro Comp II tires. The car also carries its original factory fresh Bright Blue metallic paint finish which has no visible imperfections in spite of the fact that it is over a quarter of a century old. The interior is in incredible condition and is still protected by its original carpeted factory floor mats. The Bose Delco sound system was recently refurbished and operates flawlessly. The car came with its original owners manual, brochures, service records, as well as a diary of usage which was maintained by the two previous owners. This diary contains a detailed account of each time the car was used including beginning and ending mileage, reason for trip and destination. I'm very happy to have found this car after 25 years of selling my first third gen. Here are a few photos of my IROC.

The car on pump gas makes right around 950 RWHP (16 psi) and on race gas has made 1213 RWHP so far. A lot of people have tried to tell me it's not a street car, I am not afraid to drive it anywhere, I have put nearly 1500 miles on it this summer so far, and 3 sets of tires. lol
Thanks for the nomination. Each month I appreciate the quality of cars in this thread and it's an honor to even be nominated.
'88 GTA- This is mostly an original low mile car and unmolested since new. It's a very early 88 GTA, 350 with low options-cloth interior, single cats, and non-VATS. It does have the digital dash, though I prefer the analog. With a build date of September '87, it had the original center caps still on it-the left over 87 Birds instead of the later WS6 caps.
The day I bought it, in bad need of a cleaning and detail:
After I detailed and color sanded the stock paint. I think it looks good for original paint:
Added Ronal wheels. The spoiler is original and has no tears-a testament to how this car has been cared for since new:
One of my favorite photos of it, just prior to a major storm last year:
This is where I keep it, the perfect home:
Nothing special here, just the stock motor:
Trans Am Nationals 2014. I didn't show it, just joined in the fun-
Other than the detail and Ronals, I've changed all the fluids and normal items. It runs great-I took it to Trans Am Nationals last summer, a 2 hour drive each way, and never had an issue. It's a joy to drive and gets lots of looks!
Long live the GTA!
