Nothing particular about it.Just happened to come across one at the JY, it was hanging from the pigtail. It looked to have the proper angle for our hatch glass, so I figured it would fit well.It had a lens, but I removed it.
Did you want to add one for safety or do they look better to you than the early cars that didnt have them?
I remember hating them when they first came out. Namely because it was on the outside of the hatch and was such a new thing in the auto industry handed down from uncle sam and just looked out of place and stupid. Now they just look normal on every other car on the road because we have been seeing them for so long. I personally LOVE the fact that my 83 doesnt have one and doesnt have to
Safety, mostly cause I had at one point "knightshaded" my taillights & feared someone would rearend my car, then getting fined for tinted taillights.
As well, never liked the tbl on the outside nor much cared for the inner mounted version.Even the spoiler tbl has its drawbacks.
This one however, is very slim/low profile & doesn't pertrude into the rear view mirror.Plus the LEDs are even brighter than the astro van tbl, which is pretty bright.
Awesome idea! Looks great. As a biker as well, I always believe you can't have too many lights as long as it looks good and isn't hideous. Anything to get the attention of the "texter" as they're driving.
