Custom camaro wing extensions

I am making a diffuser and front splitter and decided I would make a wing extension as well. Designed it up myself and once it's actually bolted on it matches up to the brake light and matches the contour of the trunk perfect. I made two. One without the third brake light as well which will get bolted onto my spare spoiler.

Thoughts? I think it's gonna look pretty cool. I will more than likely paint it to match or have my friend wrap it.

Jay

I never realized there were two different size spoilers. I musta lived up a 82-84 spoiler. Its slightly shorter but sticks out a tad more. Either way gives a decent idea of how it looks.

I'm debating making a large batch of these

I think that's a really nice looking concept. I think the lips on the side need an extension as well to even it out.

looks good but here is my constructive criticism... it seems like you just screwed it into the fiberglass instead of running bolts all the way through I wouldn't recommend mounting it like that. you can also slot the holes to allow height adjustment. Also if you are going to make it extend id keep it one piece instead of adding 2 more pieces to the ends.

Re: Custom camaro wing extensions

Looking good buddy. Here is just a little constructive info...

My first wicker bill spoiler I made was the same width as yours. Due to the air flow around the rear glass of the car, the center of the spoiler doesn't really do to much , most of the turbulent air that creates down force. This is why the one in the pics above are now wider to slow down the air flowing over the rear of the car creating more downforce.. I think it would be a good idea to extend yours also it astheticaly looks better conforming to the shape of the rear off the car. Just food for thought

Well if you do decide to make a batch, I'm in. It's exactly what I've been looking to create but I don't have anything computer controlled to help so it's all by hand. That's tough to get good enough to actually put on a car and be proud of it. I mean it, count me in!

That was just temperary. I bought aluminum washers and stainless bolts/nuts. I did however give up on the project. I didnt want a black or carbon looking extension and I cannot seem to get the colour to match on my car.
