I guess I've been lucky so far, I just use double sided velcro tape.

I have a set of torques in mine a set of philips head screws, and a set of 5.5 mm bolts, so if they want to get them its really going to be a pain

i just put them on yesterday so i have to keep them on for like 48 hours to let the adhesive dry...at least thats what the directions said...i dont see how you screwed them in without messing them up...why do the front ones fly off?

This is a good topic. There's a couple steps to follow to keep them from getting stolen.

1) DON'T BUY THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
They look tacky except on the few exceptional cars.
They increase your chances of getting pulled over.
They increase your chances of getting rearended, maybe in more than one way...
Besides, stealing a set is so easy why pay money?

2) After you steal them use doublesided tape to hold them on, scrap the plastic velcro junk.

3) Replace the tape every so often to keep it from deteriorating.

4) When you clean the tape off don't retape them right away, just set them on the car in place and forget about them for awhile.

5) When someone gets impatient and you need to move the car, be sure they fall off and you run over them.

This process worked for me.

Bottom line, if someone wants them they'll get em.
and I have a single taillight cover (camaro), think its passengers side if anyone needs one.

Screw them on.. why didn't I ever think of that! I might try that, not that I've ever had anyone try and steal mine. Tried to steal my CD player yes, blackouts no. I guess people don't realize how much those things cost.
