Best car wax besides ZAINO???

I use meguiars and its pretty decent but my car is getting some touchup work and when it comes out of the paintshop in 2 weeks I want to wax the **** out of it,to go with my freshly polished new 85-87 IROC rims ,I don't feel like paying $100 for zaino

Well, as for waxes, Gold Class is the best I've used (Zaino isn't actually a wax). Wax shop liquid is the easiest, and is what I use on my chrome IROC wheels when I get to shows. Also, you should wait at least a month before waxing new paint.

I use Megiurs and works good, the pic on my signature is from using Armorol Car Polish spray.

Take a meguiers glaze type thing and remove all the scratches then polish it with Liquid Glass. Stuff does work pretty good.

Not sure how long the protection last though.

Also, the zaino... you can do it under 100... you could actually do it for about 55-65.

Why pass up on the best?

I just used plain old turtle wax but I will probably be going to Zaino in the Spring.

Here is a pic right after using the turtle wax:

Some guy on the NSX message board tested a bunch of waxes. Zaino finished first, but the inexpensive Zymol from Wal Mart finished a rather close second. It's what I use and I love it.

Yeah, Zymol does work good, but I figure for the extra $3 it's not that much better.

Meguire's Gold Class or Zymol are both worth every penny and then some.

Out of all the ones I've tried, I like Mequires the best.

From my experience, use the Meguire's polish to bring out the shine, then wax. The wax mostly just protects the surface. The polish makes the real difference.

I don't remember. Some NSX owner did a rather lengthy test with 6 or 8 different waxes, including Zaino, the cheap wal-mart Zymol, the expensive Zymol, mothers, macquires, and maybe turtle wax. I forget exactly what ones. He documented all of his procedures and findings, then posted them on his website. He posted it on the NSX board, and then it flew all over the 'net. I discovered it in a post on either LS1.com or CZ28.com.

I've used a lot of waxes, and I could clearly see the difference between the zymol and the other brands. It's a royal pain in the *** to put on, but well worth it to me. Putting the wax on is easy. Taking it off sucks. It rubs off hard, and leaves a snotty streak like it would if you tried to armor-all the paint. After I go over it with a 2nd, clean rag, most of that goes away, but then you need to hose it with cold water and chammois it dry. THEN it shines like hell!

I used to use Meguiars, but it just takes too much time to get off. I couldn't take it so I stopped and am going to try Nu Finish.

I use liquid luster and I will NEVER use anything else. Liquid luster is a show wax typically sold at Auto-rama events. It's also a polishing wax. $20 for a bottle of this pink liquid, but it lasts a long time (a little goes a long way). It's also easy to apply and wipe off. The down side is that it usually only lasts a couple of car waShes, but I guess thats why it's a show wax. Pretty neat though, you can polish the ungliest penny to make it shiny new, just by rubbing this stuff on it a with your fingers for a bit! It works awesome for cleaning your brake stained clear cloated wheels.

I used that liquid luster on my car and couldn't believe how smooth the paint felt after. That's the stuff a lot of the classic car guys use also.

Yea, it's pretty good stuff, I still have a little over 3/4 of the bottle left and I've had it for 2 years! It does make the paint feel really smooth! I like it also cause it doesnt leave wipe off dust when you're rubbing it out.
