Wow, one other thing I noticed it's the first 92 TPI car I've seen with silver valve covers instead of black. I prefer the silver ones. Car is amazing as is the others you've owned.

Thanks, this was an early 92 car (buyer took delivery 10/23/1991) my understanding is some of the later 92's got the black rocker covers

Thanks - About the only thing I am considering is putting on a different set of wheels and new tires in order to preserve original wheels/tires
and then I can drive it every once in a while without worrying about driving on 27 year old tires

That's a smart idea. 27 year tires are dangerous to say the least.

You dont see a lot of dark red 92 Z verts - they did not make many - I'd guess production to be less then 200 or so.
I purchased this one with the intention of selling it - it's too nice to drive and would just be a garage queen if I kept it....

Only difference I think the leather was brown. Also had black valve covers, no TPI nameplate on throttle body, and rather rough looking TPI runners I remember

Yes totally agree and I told him. If you have to go chrome atleast get slant cut angled down like mine. I actually talked with the first owner about it and he said he was going to something else, he passed away and sold it to another older gentleman and this was his son in it leaving a show a few years back.
