Isn't Peoria a somewhat rough city? I work at Cat in Indiana. I went through Peoria once to drop off some parts. Everyone told me to stay away if possible. And no, this is not meant to stereotype anyone from there, I'm just curious.

Peoria is Just like any other city. It has its good parts and it bad parts. I am an electrical engineer so I usually get to stay in the good parts. I live in Washington which is a suburb of Peoria. It is a nice small town, I don't even have to lock my doors when I leave and me and my neighbor hangout in the driveway and garage kicking around ideas of what we should do with our f-bodies

Yeah, I am from Peoria too. My camaro is getting done as we speak. We should do a central Illinois third gen club or something. My friend HardrckA4305 (Dave) also lives less than a block from me and he has a real nice SC 88 'maro. Anyways, I gotta go get my stall convertor in a bit so give me a ring sometime @ 685-0476. My name is Mike.

I'm from the Quad Cities and wouldn't mind coming down your way for a little get together this summer. We also have quite a few cruise ins here during the summer so maybe some of you guys could make it up this way sometime.

Add one more to "who's in town!"
"Isn't Peoria a somewhat rough city?" Its not too bad really, depends on what part of town your in. We've kinda got it all here, the stuck ups, the hoods, the 'necks, little of everything!
But i'm not going to get going on the this and that of this town.
(this was actually not mike talking, this was Dave, HrdRockA4305, who forgot Camrs89 was logged in on my computer.)

Once it gets warm out again, I'll post any cruise ins and shows that I hear about over in the midwest region board. We always have at least one or two every month once its nice out. Every wednesday at around 4 or 5, a buncha classic car and hot rod guys kinda meet up and hang out at Pizza Inn on sterling, which is conveniently (sp?) right up the street from me and mike, and not to far from Allen either. We should definately all roll up there in the spring, usually 3G camaros and birds aren't out in very large numbers. That'd be a great time for some pictures! Speaking of, this is my ride. If you guys see me around town feel free to flag me down, I'm usually not in a real big hurry. My Email is also Dumpunk999@aol.com
(edit: That picture isn't very current, that was from this summer. Since then I've added and IROC grille and foglights whenever I get arond to putting them in, rear blackouts, and 4 new tires)

Hey, it is cool to see that there are a bunch of us around here. My buddy and I have been looking for a car club to join, but with so many f-body guys in the area maybe we should start up are own club. I would be willing to push a little paper If everyone is interested. Hey cvpde37 I go to all the shows with my dad in the Quad Cities. That is where I am originally from. He drives a maroon 77 vette with RDWINE on the plates. Maybe I saw your ride what do you drive? Hope to see you all sometime. My car is at the body shop right now it should be finished by the end of the month. It is a 91 GTA.

Dave, I've seen the corvette and remember the plates. If you've been to shows up here I'm sure you've seen my car since I made over 20 shows last year. It's a blue 84Z with a 4" cowl hood with black stripes. Link should be in the sig.

Yeah I have seen your car. I like it! I have voted for it a couple of times. I will be making the rounds this summer. In my new GTA. Maybe we can hook up. I think that engine compartment is the cleanest I have ever seen. Are you a part of any clubs in the Quad Cities? My dad and I belong to the Quad City Cruisers. My mods will be limited to a paint job seats and suspension. this summer. I am getting married . Talk about the ultimate money disappearing act. I am hoping this won't be disclosed to the female species cause if my fiance read this, I might as well start building a dog house for myself as we speak.

Dave, congratulations on the upcoming wedding. Right now I'm not a member of any clubs. My job requires me to work every other weekend and I work swingshift on top of that. I still manage to get in plenty of shows and cruises so I'm sure I'll be seeing you around.

Well, hey we all need to get together and start up a car club for third gens. I've talked to 86 Street and he's in. Who else wants to be in it. We could have meetings like once a month and check out each others cars, work on them, race them hehe. Let me know if you're in. Location doesnt matter but since Peoria is the majority we could have meetings here
