Mmmmm...that is just half the truth.
As most of you know Choo Choo Customs was licensed to produce the SS ElCamino from mid-1983 to 1987 when the model was discontinued. Same thing as with SLP and the 4th gen SS/Firehawk.
Chevrolet was the Indianapolis 500 Official Truck in 1986, and a special ElCamino was one of the featured vehicles that performed on-track services. BTW, this special ElCamino also featured an all aluminum 350 Chevy.
A second special Elky was the only one to ever PACE an IROC race, and that is where the IROC-S Camino comes in.
In 1985/86 there was produced approximately 15 IROC-S ElCaminos, so it is a very rare car, AND it is GM approved. So, if you have the chance to get your hands on one - Get it!! It may not be a desirable car among thirdgen f-body enthusiasts, but it definitely would be among the ElCamino crews.

Well, thats cool. I didn't know that. I have only seen the IROC-SS kit they sold. Seen lots of those over the years. Make sure which it is you are getting, the kit won't really add any value to the car.

I've never been a huge fan of the ElCamino myself, but there are some that are definitely sweet. Especially older ones.

Arrrg, don't do that to my head
I think what I was saying is that I've seen lots of the IROC-SS' whether in conversion or kit form. I had never heard of the IROC-S.
