i bought the car I’m 2014 as a rolling shell with almost nothing in it

So since my last post I have finish my cam heads intake install haven’t started it yet but this is now what it looks like

So I did end up starting it on the 7th started out having the distributor 180 out fixed that car started up sounded good for about 10 seconds and the only part that I reused were the push rods and one bent so far that’s all I have found also the only one I pulled I received my new pushrods yesterday and will hopefully be able to put them in Thursday or Friday we shall see

 

So finally after some issues I got the car running and she sounds amazing

 

 

Glad to see you kept the build going even though life has been taking a toll. I'm on my 7th year of building my '87 and it still isn't running yet, but it's getting closer everyday!

 

Thank you there is nothing more therapeutic then seeing something come together and knowing you did it keep your eyes on the prize one day who know we may end up at the same show taking about our builds don’t give up

 

My poor Iroc has been there through three houses, marriage, mother moving in, back surgery, and a divorce, but I still have it and even if it takes me another seven years to get it done so be it. I will never sell it. Ever.

 

I don’t blame you one bit mine almost suffered another divorce but luckily we are good now hopefully buying a house soon this one needs to go in a garage and I found an 87 vert I wanna build to original for my wife

I know it’s been a little while since I updated this but life has been moving forward between buying a house moving soon but the good news is the car will finally be in a heated garage also hopefully my brothers pickup (rip 1/9/16) will be getting a 6.0 from a gto next spring I have it but I need to change the reluctor wheel I know it’s not a third gen but it’s going to be a fun truck to drive

Well the 6.0 is in the pickup and she is a mean one as for the camaro I’ve gotten the Umi k member installed and a arms dougs long tubes are in waiting on a shipment from summit so I can swap out the chain for Comp cams gear drive and my hooker dual exhaust

 

Lookin good. What catback were you running ? Looks nice in the pics. Build is goin very similar to how mine was, lots of same parts.
Dutchess county? Not too far from there, used to roll through that area regularly.

Ok so a bit of an update in regards to clutch hydraulics I have so far found the the 3rd gen pedals and third gen master with the 88 caviler slave works I have not driven my car but with my kid turning the rear wheel and in gear clutch in wheel spins clutch out no spin I will be starting it up soon and trying it still waiting on my dual hooker exhaust from summit then on to my dash swap and new gauges wiring up my autometer bowtie speedo and reverse lights then onto the dreaded body work I don’t need much but I want it to be laser straight

 

Ok update the clutch seems to work had the car running the other day and I let the clutch out and the wheels spin so now that that’s sorted time to move onto making the car start easier it was fighting to stay running gotta mess with the timing and one new addition

 

Update today I got my exhaust this guy is good he makes the full exhaust from the factory manifolds I have long tubes in my car so he sold me just the x pipe back for those that want a true 2.5in exhaust give him a shout and I don’t know if he does 3in you would have to ask him

 

It’s aluminized steel just so everyone knows

 

I know I haven’t done this in a while but things got kinda crazy around here but I finally got around to putting my Father’s Day present on the car
