Removal of old decals
Hi,
I have the original decals which cranking and peeling. The paint in the car still in pretty good condition. I am seeking for any suggestion in how to remove the decals without damaging the pain. I am planning to replace with good quality ones. Any recommendations are appreciated!
Stay safe and thanks!

thank you all! I read that wd 40 might help loosened them up and not damaging the paint? Have any of you use it before?

I have a Snap On, Crud Thug that I use at the body shop. You need a pretty good air compressor to make it work, though. But it is SUPER FAST at removing decals

Am I really the only one who's blasted the decals off clean with a garden hose nozzle? I mean it's harder not to spray them off. If they're old, dry, and cracked, they usually come off leaving only the 'shadow' where they used to be adhered. Pretty sure a blow gun at 100psi would probably take them off clean if a person caught a loose edge.

I think the spray nozzle deserve a try. It can’t get any easier than that. I will try this weekend and let you know.

I think pressure washer might do it. They are in poor conditions at least the irocz decal on the doors.

A pressure washer will often remove failing clear coat and paint all the way down to the primer. A regular old spray nozzle on the garden hose will do the decals without harming the paint, unless the paint is completely trashed.
