I say nay only because you can't put a nicer spoiler than the 'base' one on there... if you could fit a 91-92 style or 4th gen on and still have the notchback, I'd say "go for it

HATCH!!! It looks like something is missing in those, eventhough they are photoshoped. Besides, you get more cargo room with a hatch.

You are right, that is a real one, the problem is is that the primered one on the white camaro is what is for sale, so that's what it will look like. Just thought you would like to know.

IMO it looks okay on the camaro but like crap in the photoshopped pic on the firebird (the angle was just terrible to work with). I think if you had the real thing on your car with a stock or 4th gen spoiler it would look really cool though.

Nay
I don't care for it-seems out of proportion with the rest of the car. I think it looks good on Ferraris and Lambos because the lines are lower; the lines of our cars are too steep for it IMO. Every car I've seen with it seems to look less aggressive because of it. I like the Camaro gfx, though

I say Yea if its a original or an aftermarket one that looks like the stock one.I have only seen one in front of smiths grociery. That GTA is the bomb I wish I had it.
Nay...
I don't like the way it looks in the pics. Id' say that maybe if it was done right it would look alright but I still perfer the hatch look better.
Especially on your car. With those wheels and the look of your car it looks like, to me, that the hatch back and also a wing on the back of the hatch back lid would balance the car out nicely.
That's just my $.02 worth on it though.

I'd really like it if I could have that and a wrap around spoiler.
Here is a side pic of mine. The 88 GTA Notchback looks just like this, but with the spoiler.

I think the notch would look good if you stay with the flat hood, but if you go with a RamAir, keep the glass.

gta looks too similar to a painted window.
i like the factory would look great with z28 high rise w/third brk light.
factory looks agressive
does gm make that part anymore?

Thanks for all the opinions. I'll have some more girls posing with the car as soon as I get it running.
Trying to find out why the injectors aren't firing.
I SAY YAY!!!
I think it looks pretty d@mn COOL!
I like how the window notches down, but the rest of the trunk hood comes slanted downward like a hatchback. I think it more of a notched-hatchback.
Other notchbacks just stop, but this slants downward to the rear.
Another plus is that it will take tons of weight off the rear.
And one other giant plus!.... Is that with that notched-hatchback, there will be much less ice and snow to clean off the window to see out back of the car!!!

Factory style- definately yay. Aftermarket- no freakin' way, or in other words... nay. Zepher that side pic of your car with no back hatch looks cool, maybe you could fab something that matches that shape.

Yeah, it's fine to get other peoples opinions, but to break out and do what you like, that's where it's really at. So go for it! I personally like the notchbacks. I think it was probably the result of somebody smart at GM realizing that these cars started out with real trunks and they should again have trunks.
I say Nay, Birds and T/A's always had that Sleek lookin' body, would be like chopin it up, I dunno, just my opinion and thats it, not saying I don't like them, cause to each there own, its just not somthing I would wanna do, or could see myself doing.
Oh, and Zepher, whatever the hell is going on with your hatch back there, looks pretty damn cool..... so, for what thats worth
Hehe

I think its unique, not every day you drive down the street and see a notchback, I mean I understand all you guys dissing it, but in the same breath its something that "usually" no one else around has, and that makes your car just that much more different. I think it does look great, it mostly depends on personal taste, that is what it boils down too. I am quit curious, where do you get these notchbacks? I have NEVER seen one for sale,. I would love to experiment with my 82 Z. Anyone selling one or know where to find them? Im also looking for a 3.42 posi rear end, if you know where I can get one yell at me asap!!! thanks guys, just thought I would add my thoughts to the whole situation. Personal taste, thats all it is :-)
