Got picked for feature camaro at GM Nats under 1 of 2 tents

Got a call from Mike Brienza (IROC-Mike) about a month ago on submitting my 92 Heritage Z28 as one of the feature camaros under the tents.

Excited as it will be a 16 day road trip and to visit many places.

Fixed slow on leak passenger rear tire and took it for a quick cruise. Now at 60,255 miles.

nice ! congrats.

I enjoyed being featured at the GM nationals way back in 2015 in building Y for the 30th anniversary of the iroc-z display. was a cool moment and I was able to keep one of the big banners (it hangs in my garage still to this day). I thought about submitting my car again for this opportunity, but decided that I wont be able to afford the 4 day time commitment to leave the car the from Thursday-late Sunday due to my full summer schedule. i do hope to bring my car there this year for a day at the car show, so I will keep an eye out for you and stop by. Enjoy, congrats.

Congrats. I'm still debating whether I'm going to go or not; 32hr round-trip is keeping me from registering now.

If I do go, I'll be taking one of the Jade Green Verts.

Congrats! See you there!

I got invited to bring my 88 convertible at 33,900 miles! Getting it all ready!

Sounds like it’ll be Thirdgen heaven!

Never been to this event before. How does the judging work? Does anyone have a copy of the judging sheets?

I’m not worried too much about the judging after hearing the caliber of cars that will be there…. My car looks showroom on a quick walk around but there are flaws a judge will find. That last 1% of being mint is really hard to get and some guys can get to 110%…. Just happy to represent!

I’m correcting any easy flaws…. Getting the wheels restored right now and detailing the brakes/suspension…. I’m going to be putting the correct tailpipes back on as well…

I figure it looks like a car you’d see on the road in 1988 and that’s impressive enough for me…. Some guys go for the “came off the assembly line and went into a bubble never to be touched by humans” thing and I’m very impressed though not even trying to compete at that level!

I heard the IROC from the trailer with 9 miles will be there… not sure if that’s been confirmed or not…. It’ll be awesome no doubt!

Thanks. I drive them regularly but usually stay in Plant City or the once a month the Tampa Bay Third Gen Group gets together we go random places throughout the Tampa Bay area.
The local Fbody group will be having a cruise on the 12th. If you are interested I'll message you the details.
