Last Hurrah Before Winter

The past 2 weeks have brought absolutely brilliant, mild Fall weather here, and I've been making the best of it before the inevitable snow, ice, and salt makes the roads unsuitable. While I almost always manage to put at least a few miles on the car during Winter when road conditions allow, during that time, the IROC mostly remains garaged.

I still have not been able to get around to breaking down the crusty original Gatorbacks off the factory rims, mounting up new 16" tires and getting them back on the car. That will likely have to wait til Spring, finances allowing. Other than the 17" Americans and BFGs, the car remains exactly as it came off the Norwood assembly line.

Your Iroc looks great, Ironwill! Where are you located?

Your weather sounds similar to what we've had here is southern Wisconsin. Today is going to be a record high at around 71 degrees only to plummet overnight and a high of only 37 tomorrow with flurries. My car will be heading to winter storage this weekend!

Beautiful car. Luckily for me down south we can run em all year. Got a show Saturday. Mid December to late January mine takes a back seat for deer hunting though Lol.

Great pics.

I was never one to put my car to bed for winter even when I lived in western PA. But glad that I live in SC now and don't ever need to worry about roads covered in snow, salt, and cinders.

Same deal here; the Accu-Guess Weather Dude predicts the temp will drop off a cliff here by Sunday.

Indeed all the guys living South of me will most often be able to avoid ice and snow and the road salt that accompanies it.

Good deal on being able to avoid the salt, the Killer Of Cars.

Thanks! Excellent weather and a really good iphone camera sure didn't hurt.

The paint was practically flawless when I bought the car new back in '86. I've had people as recently as a month ago ask me who painted the car, and were surprised when I replied, "Chevrolet."
