I need traction...Rims and tires choice

Ok, my car is not going to hook up on the street at all. I want a rim and tire combo that i can drive on the street regularly. My friend told me 15x10's would fit on the back. Would that stick out. I don't want my car looking all white-trashy. I would like to keep 15's. Any ideas??

dump the 15's and get a set of 17's or at least 16's
but if you must stay with 15's buy some American Racing Torq-Thrust II's 15x8 for $199 each in summit. As for tires a good size would be P245/60R-15 all around so they can be cross rotated (spelling)

get some 15 by 8 weld wheels (nice and light) and some drag radials for the rear. some 275 50 r 15's should do the trick. that will give you traction. 16's and 17's slow you down in the 1/4 mile, cant have that now can we.

Hey Cam, just get some sweet looking Z-racing rims at like the Winners Circle or Sears...i am getting some sweet 15's from Sears and they are only 90$ a piece just an idea though. As for tires that stick I would say BFG Drag Radials with whitewall lettering or Nitto Drag Radials......

Yeah, there are some cragers in Jegs pretty cheap, 10-holes, I think they are called quick shot are something like that. I would get 15x7's in the front and 15x10s in the back with BF Goodrich Radial TAs. Would that be enough traction for the street?

86Street...no, i wasnt referring to you, I like you rims, minus the spinners, infact mine are kinda similiar that I want.

yeah, i don't care to much for handeling. What I have now is great compared to my '72. I want 15's for 1/4 mile.
