I just wanted some opinions over my 84.

Hey, Hows it goin fellas? I was just looking for some opinions on my car. I think its probably one of the better looking Z's in 84'. When I was told it was brown, I was thinking to myself, wonderful, its turd brown, but when I saw it, i thought it looked pretty good. If anyone has any 84' Z's post a pic if ya got em.

Thanks

Like Blue502 said, it's hard to give opinions of something without the pic. If you'd like to see pics of another 84 the link is in my sig.

Winterpeg! The coldest place in Canada (other than the Arctic) in the winter and the most mosquito infested place on ***'s green earth in the summer.

One Winnipeg mosquito to another, "Shall we eat him here or cart him off to the swamp?"

Have I got it about right

Sorry about that

I tried when I posted that message and for some reason I couldn't get it to work. Just wouldnt upload. Im gonna try to upload it again in this post. We'll see what happens. Its an 84Z with your basic LG4 305 (dirt) and the even worse T-5. But alls going to change soon. I got a rebuilt 350 small block Im dropping in there along with the T-56 Ill be getting hopefully within the next two weeks. The guy whos selling it to me still has it in his car(94 TA),so when he gets it outta there, its mine. 200$!!!!! Is what he wanted for it!! Can you believe that? Hopefully Ill be able to get a hold of a nice 12bolt. Like one with 3.73 gears and a detroit locker posi. That would be real nice. But yeah, I do have to agree though, the brown color does grow on ya. I think it looks good especially since its metallic. Oh and has anyone installed a turbo Z28 body kit from www.americansportscar.com ?
(1000$) I think that kit just sets it off. If anyone has a picture with it on, upload the picture. Thanks

84 Z-28,

I don't like the Turbo body kit at all

It is a contradiction in terms, body wise. The fenders are swoopy and curved out but the front and rear of the car remain squarish. To make it look better would require a rounding of the front facia and the rear bumper area. Just my opinion

Looks real sharp. As long as that brown is shiny and has the silver gfx it looks good. But when that color starts to oxidize and turn dull it makes the car look like a huge pile of ****.

Well, I was gonna say it looks real sharp, but someone already said it that way... 84 is an excellent year. Take care of that car.
