HRE Wheels
I love their 540 series wheels. I was just wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find them a lil cheaper then $4,300 for the size I want. I understand these are expensive rims. Any help would be great.
Try ebay
I seriously don't know why HRE wheels are so expensive. I mean they look cool and everything but they cost 3 times as much as some chrome rims. And maybe 5 times as much as some regular racing wheels. Do they make your car fly ?

They cost so darn much because of the process they use to make them. Plus a little extra for that exclusivity factor
.Seriously you are not likely to find a bargain on those rims unless someone desperately wants to sell theirs in a hurry.
that and they are "outsorced" meaning that in most cases someone else makes them and they stamp their name on it for a fee.
yes it's proven that a three piece is better then a single or even 2 piece wheel. however, there are only so many ways a wheel can be made. most of the "high end" rims are built similar and all work do the purpose.
i think you should pick a wheel because it fits the purpose more then the little ensignia on it. hre, iforged, simmons, etc. are all nice and very well made wheels; but lets not forget they are very over priced. while it's true you get what you pay for.......you can still pay more then what something is worth.

they make the wheels to your specific order: size, offset, finish
Yes, they are a 3 piece wheel and are incredibly lightweight compared to other wheels.

I ordered my wheels thru Discount Tire. Took 6 weeks to get them.

that would be a good piece of info to know when you remove a tire you might think of weighing the tire and rim just for your knowledge.
i know my 18" z06 rim and 275/35/18 tire weighed 2 lbs less then my 16" stock rim with 245/50/16 tire. my new rims are only 19 lbs in 18's which is why i picked them over the others.

HRE’s are probably some of the finest wheels on the planet. I used to work for the number one distributor in the US and I’m very familiar their wheels and fitments. The only wheel they make that will fit a 3rd gen without molesting the actual wheel is the 340 series. Extremely unsightly in my opinion and is why I decided to go with Speedlines. Had they been able to meet my requirements/fitment I would be the proud owner of 19” 545’s.
