I still can't make up my mind between the Ronals and the ROH ZS.

Right now I'm still leaning toward the charcoal ZS wheels. I gotta do some photoshopping

what is all the hype about these wheels, they look nice and all but they are just basic 5 star rims. actually I would like them much better if they didn't have that screw holding on the center cap. the whole center cap is a hex nut isn't it. so why does it need a lock. just my .02 cents, I think the screw kills the rim and makes it look cheezy.

Those center caps need a screw in them because they are like $50 a peice! At least thats what it cost to get one with the original firehawk logo in it and everything.

And I'm almost positive that these are lighter than the stock wheels or almost the same weight. I was swapping rims on my 88 IROC and I took off some 15's which were steel, but the 17" firehawk rims weighed like half as much even though they are much bigger.

Thats the 2 different sets of rims that I was swapping. My Iroc rims are on my 67 firebird so I didn't get to compare weights between those and the firehawk rims.

what I meant was why not make it look cooler, rather then one big screw why not put several evenly spaced screws around it. like the ricers do with there 18's, makes it look much better and not so early 80's

yes our cars are from the 80's, an era which produced some of the ugliest stylings ever, including the cheezy screw on caps for the rims. when you buy rims its to update the look of your car, why put outdated wheels on if your trying to update your car. and not only ricers can have nice rims, just because ricers use a certain technique or style doesn't mean we can't use it to improve our cars

Exactly. The classic understatement. Look at any show winning modified classic car, and what do you see? A car that's been made more plain then when it was stock. All the window edges removed and smoothed. Bumpers welded right to the body and painted. Simplicity. Gaudy, "look at me" styling is a fad. Look at any tacky stripe package from the 70s and you'll see what I mean. That was all the rage once. It's the simple, clean, classy understated cars that continue to look good year after year. Some of us would rather a simple, but unique wheel style instead of the bright, tacky **** that is all the rage now.

That's definately a matter of opinion. I think the thirdgens are the best looking of any generation.

I still think TTII's are the way to go. No matter what you put them on.

Car: too many ...
So what ... if I put 18's on my camaro im gonna be a *****? Blah! I think those wheels are plain. I like deep dish wheels but I agree thats just a basic 5 star design ... nothing to get excited about. How much do they weigh per wheel? Are they 2 piece or 3 piece?

I just like them because they don't stray too far from the looks of the original wheels that came on this car, and they are 17"x9.5".

Those are the best looking wheels by far for third gen , imo . It just make the car look so tuff . I am a big ZS fan as well , but the Ronals I think blow em away

I like the rims, just don't like the matching colors.

My favorites have to be Zr1 wheels, TT2s, the Ronals, and the guy on here who has the fikes. There are a few I'm leaving out I'm sure, but I like those alot.
