Looking for Thoughts And Opinions On Zaino products From Those Who've Used Them....
I have a '86 TA with a regular paint job and it is highly oxidized. I've used Mequiars car polish many times and it does a great job of removing the oxidation but it doesn't last very long and then the oxidation is back. I've been thinking about trying a few of the Zaino products but I wanted to get opinions first from some people that have actually used it. Is it worth the money or not??

I would say 95% of the people who used it love it. What I find works great with Meguiar's Products, is first use their Step 1 Cleaner wax, by far the easiest to put on and take off. And really helps it shine too. And today I just picked up step 2 and 3, to use next weekend on Spring break, everytime I come home it rains. I'm also going to use a clay bar and see how that helps. I figure for the $15 it cost for the Meguiar's it will do just fine. Here's a pic using Armoral Polish and the next is of using the Cleaner Wax.
Zaino is really good, although you can get the same shine from many other products for cheaper. None last as long as zaino and its ease of use is nice as well. I'm sure you'd be satisfied with any polish that isn't carnuba based

That's what I'm looking for is something that lasts awhile. I agree that Meguiars gives a really great shine and works great but it doesn't last very long and putting it on can be quite time consuming. I think I'll try Zaino this summer. I agree that some polishes are cheaper but I have yet to find a bottle that can do 8 mid sized cars like Zaino claims they can do.... especially my car. One bottle of Mequiars lasts about two times on my car and then it's gone.

I haven't used it, but am looking forward to it. I have $85 in Zaino products sitting on my shelf, begging for nice weather. PLENTY of pics will be posted when I finally do it.

A friend laughed at me when I gushed about Zaino and told me I was gullable. However, after seeing my car, he ordered several Zaino products.

I'm looking for a wax that shines like that stuff but is better. I'd like to use Zaino though.

If the paint is rough and highly oxidized, nothing but a repaint is going to help it. :nono:
Using waxes or polished may actually make it look worse because the pores of the paint are much bigger due to the oxidization, the polishes might get trapped and make the car look milky or white.

I just have to add my opposing view to all of the "Zainoheads". I spent a pretty penny on that stuff and can honestly say that it does a good job. I can also say that it costs too much and I don't see why Mothers isn't touted as much. The ONE thing that I really do like about Zaino is the Zxx?? spray that you use to buff up the shine. It seems to put a "shell" over the wax or Zaino and hardens. I've put on RainX wax and then the Zaino spray. Two weeks later I'll throw my 100% cloth towel accross the hood and watch it stick- spray it down w/ the Zaino spray and watch the towel slide accross the hood as if it were on glass!!
As for that LOCK stuff and the rest I'm selling it at one of the next car shows. BUT, I will keep my spray which I've had for a year and have gotten plenty of use from.
Peace
