is this to *****???

hey guys i have an impotant question to ask.

i just got a stock 3 piece spoiler from a friend of mine.

of course my camaro is white, and the spoiler is black, now here is the ***** part, do you already know where im going with this...

i was wondering if i should put on the spoiler and just leave it black, the only reason i would do this is because i have SC and am getting a GFX conversion and am thinking of making the GFX black.

what do you guys htink, i want honest opinions, flame me, tell me it would be cool, what ever is clever.

How could the spoiler being a different color be rice? Whether or not it would be tacky would depend on the color of your car/wing and how well it goes together. I had a black spoiler on my orange mustang. Didn't look too bad.

well, my car is completly white, and the spoiler is completly black, that simple, and like they say, anything matches white and black, with the black GFX on there & IROC rims I think it would suit the car better, here is a pic of my camaro and you guys can decide how it would look.

87_Camaro, by the way i'm not bashing your car. I think it would look sweet with black ground effects and a black wing. maybe some taillight black-outs in the rear too?

Don't worry man just having some fun. Get some GFX and maybe a Trans Am Racing Series Style wing and you all set.

Goodluck,

if you're worried about it just have someone paint the wing .. shouldn't be more than $150 and then put it on yourself.

that "IROC-R" is just too much :sillylol:

but how many camaro's and mustangs have you seen with primered aftermarket hoods? It wouldnt look rice, but if it bothers you, i would just find some spray-can paint that matches your paint and just paint it in that until the time comes to get it done professionally.

Heh, my Dads third gen Camaro is black and the car is green. The dude he bought it from painted it cause the paint was faded. I would say paint that spolier. Thats not how cars were intended to look, with all kinds of different colors everywhere. Ground FX as a different color now thats not bad. But what I would do if I were you is. 1st wet sand that spolier yourself and if you can prime it. Then call around a few body/paint shops and see how low they can quote you on just getting it sprayed. That way you are only paying for the painter and not the helper.

IIRC the first couple of years of 3rd Gen T/As had black ground effects, mirrors, and spoilers.

Okay.
First off lets define Rice. If your car is yellow, green, and orange has a big wing, but has had effort put into the engine, like its a 12 second car, it is not rice you can dissagree with me all you want but if the car is fast it is no longer rice. Mind you I hate all honda's focus's etc. and in no way am I saying I would ever do this to my firebird. I am just defining it mind you I still even call the fast ones rice. But really there not.

Rice is adding an exhaust tip the size of a trash can lid, a spoiler that is three layers high and looks like a book shelf, and big rims that actually make the car go slower because those hondas don't produce enough torque and yellow paint while forgetting about the aspects that make a car fast.

So adding the spoiler to a car that is already reasonably fast does not make it rice.

Iroc-R lol.

Here, I dunno if this will help, but I'm taking my car to the shop this week for them to do some repairs and to paint the GFX Black, I got an '84 Z28, and quite frankley, I love the idea of it being White and Black, in fact, I've changed it from being White and Gold to White and Black, and the interior from Tan/Camel with Black stripes to a Black and Charcoal Grey Interior. Here, heres a pic of my car with Black GFX (Photoshopped) add yer spoiler on top of it and you'll get an idea of what It'll look like....

Just my thoughts.

I like the look of the Camaro without the "Camaro" badge on the front fender.
