IROC-Z mud flaps? Where to buy? Pics? How much?

My cragar rims with my 245's stick out farther than my original rims and 215's on the back. I have seen mudflaps that say Camaro and the subject heading thing pretty much says the rest.

bought mine at a dealership about 8 years ago, they were the last set they had. I saw a set on e-bay a few months back too.

Do a search for ChevyKen's picks, he has some, I don't like the look of them at all.

Mud flaps are good when they stop rocks from hitting your paint though.

I still wont put them on though

The Z28 and Camaro flaps can still be purchased from GM, but the IROC-Z flaps have been discontinued. I've got an unopened set that I paid $40 for. Ebay is probably your best bet, but you'll have to look for a while until you see a pair pop up.

As for mud flap opinions, I'll agree that cars look better without them, but I spent WAY WAY WAY too much time and money on my car to let it get plastered with stone chips.

But the image of big ol honkin' flaps to cover up a set of cragars that stick out a mile is starting to conjure up images of air shocks and rebel flags.

I got mudflaps on my car that says "camaro". Does that mean im going to go mudding, no, it serves a purpose it protects my paint since it is practiculy new and because I live on a gravel driveway. but everyone has an opinion

i would attach them with like the snaps they use for convertable tops. That way when ur driving around u can have them on but if you stop at a show or just want to look good u can snap them off and toss'em in the hatch.

Alot of the people on this board must not drive on gravel(or highways that gravel roads leading to them).. Before I put the FX on, I had some. It's a need around here if you want to keep the paint in good shape. It will chip the paint behind the wheels until the paint is gone.

heres what I got on my car. They are molded splash guards, I got them from Classic Industries. When I first bought the about 1 and 1/2 years ago I didnt put them on cause I liked the ROC without them. But then I stated noticing all kinds of rocks chips on the body right behind the wheels. So I put them on, you kinda get used to them...

i think it might look bad *** if those molded pieces were painted body color.i think it would kinda give the lower fender a wider look to go along with some wide rims/tires,and a nice smooth look.not to mention protecting the paint.i have tons of paint chips on the lower rear fenders beihnd the wheels that i think its going to necessitate getting the lower fenders repainted .if only it had splash gaurds.

Laugh if you want, but my SC looks good with flaps and it does protect things from rocks and gunk.

Ok I guess it was my fault for not knowing what I wanted. I meant splash gaurds. I DO NOT want mud flaps. I am talking about the hard plastic things. I saw some on e-bay that said Camaro but not IROC-Z. My Cragars don't stick out far from the body or anything. They are still entirely in the wheel well they are just set a little wider than that stock rims. I only want the splash gaurds for the back and I think they would look bad *** painted to match the body too maybe. I figured it was something I could put on the car and then decide if I like it or not. I am noticing some small paint chips right behind the wheels. Thanks for the opinions though. Anyone else have some for sale or know where to get them ?

here are the part numbers for the molded splash guards from Classic Industries.
Part #233--------85-89 front IROC Molded splash guards
Part #234--------85-89 Rear IROC Molded splash Guards

I dont know if they still carry them but its worth a try. They just screw on so if you dont like them you can just take them back off.

I will probably paint them when and if I ever get the car re-painted.
