255/50/16's on a ...................

i have a left over pair of 255/50/16 general tires. they came with the rims i bought after mine got stolen. well i wanted a matching set so i bought four new eagles.

so now i hve these left over and they are like new, i want to put them on my 99 sunfire gt on the back.

anyone know if they would fit or if you think they would look good or not.

give me your honest opinions.

What size tire came on the car originally? Try this site Tire Sizer to show you how far off your speedo will be.

We've owned a Cavalier, and it has small narrow tires. I would have to say your going to have trouble getting 255's in there...

If a 99 Sunfire if FWD, how will putting the tires on the rear affect the speedo

I have to agree with Jim for the opinion part...

Hey, at least the sunfire would look cool from the rear. I dunno what size rim your sunfire has, but i've worked at a tire shop for almost 2 years and i think some of the cavalier and sunfire's rims would hold a 255 tire. I have never done it, but i'd give it a try.

i'm not doing this for performance, i just wanna see wut it would look like.

if someone seen a sunfire rollin with 255's they wouldn't know wut to expect.

i personally think it would look pretty cool as thr car is black and has the dual exhaust and stuff.
