Powder Coating TPI system?
I was wondering if anyone in here has ever powder coated their TPI hardware? Have you had any negative experiences with it? I have seen a few units on ebay that where PC'd and they look really clean. Here is a pic of one on there now, im sorry its not relly clear. I would like to hear any feedback any one has with this topic. -Thanks

Yeah, I am thinking of buy the Hot Coat Powder Coat system from the Eastwood company and use it to PC my TPI stuff silver or "almost chrome" and maybe make some money on the side.

Ive had my complete TPI ceramic coated for the past 3-4 yrs and My car never gets over 190* thats in fla heat also. And I know its acurate cuz Im running a autometer gauge and watching scann software also...
Powder coating is EASY to do. I have the eastwook HOTCOAT SETUP and it works great. As for being EXPENSIVE TO DO? Not if its someone like me doing it. If you go local YES a large company will charge a arm and leg.
Ill do A complete TPI for Under $200 depending on color combos.
E-mail me for specifice.

Chevyguy1969,
It's not expensive at all. I live in Houston and I had my complete Super Ram intake system, and two sets of TPI brackets along with my supercharger brackets done in a silver/chrome for 135.00 and thats not limited to just one place. Everywhere I've called it's been roughly the same price. Just wanted to let you know.

The motor temp will not increase, but the air charge in the plenum/runners/manifold will, decreasing power. The air coming into the cylinder will be hot and less dense.

i've had mine done for over a year now, it's ceramic coated, i have mixed fealings.........much better than stock appearance, easier to maintain then polishing, but i wish i would have went with chrome. the heat is noticeable......it does retain alot more than stock; but if things are set up properly it shouldn't be a problem.
as far as cost i spent around 130 for the plenum and the valve covers; you can't do the stock runners as they are soldered an not welded. so i just painted them to match the car.
sorry about the size, anyone know of a free photoshop program that allows you to crop pictures?
