I need help finding out what car this interior is from!!
I need help in finding out what car this interior came out of. The guy who I bought my Iroc-Z Convertible from stopped by myhouse today and told me he was cleaning out his mini storage building and found this interior. He said he wanted it to go with the car originally so he gave it to me!!! I have all the pieces, the carpet, door panels, trim, but the drivers side front seat frame is bent out of shape. I need a new frame but I've never seen these seats before. He told me it came out of a 1990 GTA with a 350 TPI, and he'd also seen it in a 4th gen Z-28 or Firebird but he doesn't remember which. These sets have more lumbar adjustments than a dentist's chair. Any help would be great. If the picture doesn't work follow this link: http://www.geocities.com/bigtpicj7/ Greatpics3.html
Thanks for your help.

Awesome! That looks like it is definatly from a 4th gen bird. I'm not an expert and will most likely be corrected but it looks like it was probably from a well equipt T/A. I wish someone would drop off the interior to a 95 camaro...I so want to redo my interior.
GTA Seats
Anybody got pictures? Both car and Interior I'm going to a couple of F-Body junkyards tomorrow and I need to know what cars these seats come from. I desperately need a drivers seat frame.
Listen those seats will not look right in your car, besides you say one side is bent. Look I'll do you the favor of removing them from your garage and I'll kindly depose of them. When can I pick them up?

Nobody gets these seats! There are really cool and I think a Black IROC-z Convertible with a Black top and an all black interior is gonna look awesome. Anybody got any pictures of a Black on Black on Black Camaro or T-bird?

They are GTA seats. 4th gen seats had differant tracks, and headrests. You might be able to repair the seat frame. Regaurdless, you'll have to strip what you have, and put it on another frame. They may just have a broken brace. Very common, they can be repaired. I'd look at that before buying another frame. If it can't be repaired, GTA seat frames will work . Is the headrest on one flat bar or 2 small round bars? That will be the differance.

The 4th Gen seats were modeled after the famous GTA seats, thats why the look sililar
Thats great for you man, id wish someone would drop by my house and give me those
but oh well... Good for you man!!!!!
Black on Black is awsome, but i wouldn't paint my car back to black (origanally black, now dark metallic Blue) cuase it shows to much dirt, and my current paint is just as bad, i am going to go with Sunset Orange Metallic (2000-2002 F-Body) w/ all Black interior, that would be great!!!!

I have GTA seats (in my GTA oddly enough) and 4th gen leather seats in my IROC. Other than the headrest, they look identical, but they don't feel anything alike. The GTA seats are much more plush and supportive. My 4th gen seats aren't comfortable worth a damn. They're as hard as a rock and I slide all over the place.

if you want to find out what year they are from, its pretty easy. If you look at the bottom of the drivers seat three is a little box in the front that controls the lumbar support for both seats. On my box somewhere there was a date, mine was like 5-27-1987. or it might have been 27/5/1987 < the box is made in Germany by Bosch so the day and date might have been reversed.
