If you're talking about the actual sending unit....no, you can't use it or the 93-98 style sending units. You'll have to modify a 99-02 sending unit.
If you're talking about the fuel level sender, I don't know. I hope so. I'm trying to find that out myself. I know the guy in the link I posted used the 0-90 ohm sender from his 97 by modifying the plastic housing on the 99 model sending unit. So I'm thinking that maybe we can do the same. Or if autometer would just make a damn ultra lite fuel gauge for the 99-up style senders it would work for me.

wow, I saw this a year ago, and was going to wait till someone posted some die hard info... looks like nothing yet as far as the pump set up that company was gong to make 2 years ago, no news on fuel line set ups?
I was thinking, the LT1 fbodys do have return lines right? Do you think the LT1 pump and sending unit are the same size as the one in an LS1? You could just put in the LT1 set up in the LS1 tank? Anyone have any weight comparisons? The tank might be plastic, but will the extra capacity cancel out the weight loss?
Is the tank baffled?

Racetronix still doesn't offer a kit for the walbro pump, but I assure you several LS1 guys have put walbro's in their 99 up tanks.
Fuel lines shouldn't be that big of a problem once somebody gets fooling with it.
LT1's used return lines, I think 98's did too IIRC.
The baffling in the plastic tank is superior to even 1LE's.
Put it this way, when I mentioned the idea of doing this to Sam Strano Jr. (Won SCCA titles with 1LE thirdgen, knows his **** about these cars), even he sounded intrigued.
Weight....not for sure if bigger, just heard it was. Even if it is...don't fill all the way up when you go to the track or are going out lookin for street races.
I gotta find one of these frikin' tanks around here somewhere so I can get to the bottom of this deal!

im gonna pick up a tank for about free(i hope) might have to try this down the road, if i ever have to drop the rear for any reason. you could use the emissions canister for a return line. seems like it to me.

I found this and brought it back from the dead. Great info on this.
I can't believe I'd forgot about it.
