Adhesive? (looks around) Who needs adhesive?

Seriously- once you get the carpet in, and make your holes for the seat studs, console, door sills, seat belts, etc... that carpet won't be moving anywhere!! It won't be like a floormat, trust me! I did mine without adhesive and it came out nice. Just lay it in the sun for a bit, unfolded, so it "relaxes" and gets the big creases out.

Where did you buy the carpet at?

I know 3M makes some spray on adhesive for carpet but it is $15 a can. You can find it at any hardware store.

I picked it up from A1, which sells ACC carpet direct. Which from what I gather off of Thirdgen.... is the best you can get for the price.

Sorry I'm new. Is A1 a website or a store near you?

I bought mine from 1A Auto also.. http://www.1aauto.com - I didn't buy off the website, but I called them and ordered it. It's the same carpet as from http://www.accmats.com , but it costs less at 1A! (Go figure!)

Hey Tom P...

I've been following your posts on that POR 15. I just got my shippment of the stuff in today. And I took you advice and ordered the starter pak along with a little extra of everything just to be on the safe side as you said it goes fast.

I was wondering... did you just do your rear axle? Or did you apply it else were as well? I plan on using it to undercoat my bird as well as the spare tire area which has some serious rusting going on, but if I apply POR 15 this summer shouldn't be a problem for a LONG time...

Any additional tips aside from what you posted on the use of this stuff? I'd appreciate the assist.

the 3m stuff is really good cause you can spray it and it makes even solid coats then wait a few seconds and it will bond strongly immediatley, iv'e used this other stuff from permatex that costs like 8 bucks, and i have mixed feelings about that, i believe it may bond stronger but it comes out like silly string, and your supposed to make a coats, wait 5 minutes, make 2 more coats (5 minutes apart) THEN bond teh stuff, and at that point it's only slighty tacky so your not even sure if it will hold in place for the 24 hours it takes to fully bond. i really like the 3m stuff, it's more expensive but it makes a really strong and quick bond.
