What sort of 5 inch spoiler do you mean? Like a ducktail/2nd gen kind, or a bigger version of the standard Camaro one, or something totally different?

I kind of miss that spoiler. I had planned on buying one when I painted the IROC to help offset my cowl hood, but it was no longer available by then.

So are you saying that it is like the spoiler found on a '71 stlye camaro? If so that is cool because i have been looking for one of those myself since that little stock one GM gave doesn't do a dang thang.

E-mailed them....

Just dropping you a line to find out any info on your making of the IROC spoilers again. It's the only one that I've seen that I want on my Camaro.

Thanks Darrell Meier

Yeah, the guy lives in the Columbus, GA area. It says he bought the car from his father-in-law and then the two of them began the work on it. Very cool car in and out.

I e-mailed the guy at ASCD today too. If everyone else wants this spoiler as much as they say, lets tell these guys they have a tremendous oppotunity with sales of this part. After all money (sales/orders) talks.

Thats kinda neat, its a little more agressive than the standard but its still fairly subtle, it dosen't look one bit out of place.

It looks even better in the pictures than I remembered. Tall enough to balance the cowl hood, but short enough to pass for stock unless you know what you're looking at.

I just may have to buy my first non-functional accessory for the IROC. I'm gonna be a *****!!! :sillylol:

Not likely, the 18's in my rear required that slight modification to the wheel well be made ( bang out the well)

Hey I remember that wing...I was gonna buy it before but never did. I think it kinda looks like a "drift wing" like most 240's and what not have. I'd mold it if I had it.

Same thing I was thinking Rev!! Hey thanks Kj, when I get em mounted we should meet up so u can check em out. Hey 87CIZ, alot of people will tell you 'No' right off the bat but it is possible. One of the things you gotta remember is that its not the wheel size itself that matters, its the overall size of the wheel with the tire on it. The stock 16's wheel uses 50 series, the guys running 17's run 45 series, the guys running 18's run 40 series and off you go. Same thing when determining the width. I used information from a variety of setups to determine what I was going to run and avoid rubbing. Powermite runs 18x9 265/40/zr18 all around with the Eibach Pro springs and no rubbing at all. Others run 17x9.5 with 275/45/zr17 all around on a 1" drop no problems.

PurplePa$$ionz28, do you happen to have the part/model number? I want to call them and see if they still sell it. Thanks!!!

I'm guessing you didn't bother reading the rest of the thread? The whole point to the thread was that people are trying to get Rex at ASCD to start making it again.

That spoiler is nice! What really stood out to me is that they paintedthe normaly black grill insert to match the main color of the car and it looks very nice. Anyone done that? Dont recall noticing it on other pictures.

I know you'll all prolly just jump on me for even askin, but would those 5" spoilers fit an '89 TA?? I miss my SC's spoiler and my TA's wrap around is lookin' like ****.... I think it'd be pretty sweet having an Iroc spoiler on instead.

I don't know if it would fit but it would look sweet on a T/A! I even dare say almost as good as it would on a Z

The 1/4 panels on the firebird are different, so the spoiler won't fit without modifications. Even if you perform the mods to make it fit, I'd imagine it'll look pretty stupid without the tail lights wrapping around to the back of the spoiler like on the Camaro.

I saw that spoiler a few yers back on a Yellow IROC it looked tight. The camaro was dropped nice rims and painted a nice bright yellow
