I have a 92 formula 350 and I want to change my stock tail lamps to the black grid style on the GTAs. Can someone please tell me where I can find a set of these in good condition? Anyone selling any? Thanks.

If you do find them, generally you have to bend over. It took me AGES to find mine and when I did (they are nice though) I paid $200(?) They look awesome though.

 

try Hawks, he has a set on a Formula I know for sure from a 91-92 T/A...

Correct me if I am wrong here guys, but is the difference between the GTA & T/A just the center piece in the 85-90 ones? or is that the same too???

Back to the point....the center piece is different, there are no vents behind the front wheels, all GTAs had a one-tone color scheme. Those are the biggest differences. Smaller ones exist, but most have been found on base-model birds, formies, TAs as well because of custom ordering. Oh yeah! The GTAs had the gold crosslace wheels specifically until 91-92 when the wheels were an option on the TA.

 

i am also looking to get some 91 - 92 trans am tail lights!!

the formula ones just look to plain..

 

Heres the different models of tail lights:

82-84 Firebird/SE/Trans Am (has horizontal bars like 2nd gens)
85-90 Trans Am/GTA (Grid style)
85-92 Firebird, Formula (Has amber turn signals, no reflective stripe along bottom)
91-92 Formula/Trans Am/GTA (2 piece design, no center piece)

 

Ward is close, the Formula only got one set of tailights, 87-92 only the T/A & GTA would have gotten the 2 piece in 91-92
