Cup Holders Anyone?

Despite the tech article on cup holders for their Thirdgen I would like to know if any of you have your custom made cup holder.

Some firebirds had cup holders in the doors and some people have swapped in 4th gen consoles with cupholders.

mine's a rice burner cupholder that's supposed to stick on your dash. i picked it up at autozone in the ***** section. it was actually was silver and said type s on it lol. but it was perfect for what i needed. i don't have power windows in my car so where the buttons are supposed to go is a big blank spot on my console. so i cut a hole outta the console, painted the thing and stuck it in. it actually looks and works great. i'm gonna try and include a pic but if i don't do it right you can go to reader's rides and look at willdog666 's ride(yours truly) and see the finished product in the bottom pic thanks and good luck!

only decent cupholder for our cars is the 91-92 firebird cupholder , simply mounts to the door with 3 screws and that's it

new can be bought for around $80 from the dealer if the dealership still has them , last I heard they were discontinued...

I found a 91 Firebird a the junk yard and grabbed the door panel cup holders from it. I had to paint them black and drill holes for them in my doors which was a giant PITA, but they look sweet now.

mine is the easiest cupholder mod yet, and it looks stock.

step 1. find a center console w/hole for clock

step 2. take a plastic insert (some were rubber...if you get a rubber one you'll have to brace it somehow) from the cupholders on a 97+ ford f-150/expedition (w/bucket seats) and put it in
the "clock hole".....perfect fit!

sorry for the late response but i ordered the kick panels from the crutchfield catalog. they are made by a company called q-logic. probably the best component in my stereo system. they made such a huge difference! a little expensive but i love em.

willdog666 thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

Kj Rockz I took your advice, and did a search ....... on YOU. Do you realize 90% of your posts are "do a search, blah blah blah...". Oh, and let's see, you say one guy is a "F___ing idiot....." and other crap like that... In fact, not one of your recent posts has anything usefull to anyone, or, anything that could be considered help.

Grow up bud. This site used to be great (like back in the days before it was even called thirdgen.org) until guys like you started showing up.

Cheers

Question: WHAt is the point of these boards if we do not ask questions but always search for our answers??? Why not take all the info here close the forums and make one huge FAQ page?

I personally like to help people. DESPITE if it has been asked a gazillion times.

Not custom, but it works and it will hold a 32oz full cup and not tip. Its grey to match some of my interior. The base is one of the average storage units that you can get from Walmart. I got one of the twistly cup holders that you twist to make them hold different sizes. I attached it to the border b/w the weeny cup holders in the storage unit. It holds great. The storage unit it perfect because its edges fit under the edges of the rear seats and it is very stable.

Hey willdog666!

I almost bought the Q-Logix kick panels, but I am afraid I would actually "kick" them often as I get in/out of the car. Do you end up hitting them alot? Do they get in the way of the "dead pedal" as you are driving?

not at all, watch passengers though, for some reason they suck! i've rplaced the damn grilles twice. they just don't seem to look before they shove 14" clodhoppers through my damn speakers.. not really that bad, i've had 'em in my last cars for probably the last five years, and only two mishaps. i'd go for em.

oh yeah whoever is yelling about this go jack off or something, i'd sell my computer if i sucked as bad as you. why are we talking about cupholder's? why the f&%k not!?!?!? i'm bored trying to help someone. geesh did you not see it said cupholder's anyone?
