My 88 Bird with the 305, headders, and stuff in it, not a lot but some and me not in it was 3420lb. I am not sure how acc the scale was, it was the one on base but I hope that helps.

scania, 2.2lbs = 1 kg, so you can just divide the weight by 2.2. bravo's 3420 lb car is 1555 kg

2.2 will get you close as a conversion factor, but it's actually
kg = 2.204623 pound

As the weight increases, you get further off if using 2.2 as the conversion factor. In the case of the 3420# car, the true weight in Kg: 3420 pound = 1551.286 kg

You can get the "restoration package" for your car by calling GM and asking for it. The C/S number is 1-800-222-1020, not sure if that's the one you need but they'll be able to get you the right one.
The package has copies of the MVMA specification forms, which have all the weights for the car and different options listed. It's free.

You can also take your car to some truck stops and some dragstrips and have it weighed.

Rage 13, you are right. But what gets me is when a car has half metric, and half SAE size bolts. We do the same on our engines at work. Half the bolts, hoses, and tubing is all in mm. Other bolts, are standard.
