What is the best way to put on the K.I.T.T. light?
I have an 82 t/a. I don't want to go conversion or anything, but I think the scanning light would kick *** on my car. What do I have to do, and where is the best place to get one?
I have seen them in J.C. Whittney. Are those good? How much would I need to cut off of my nose to make room for the light?
Anyone else done this with a factory nose?

I am doing a Knight Rider conversion myself. I bought the front bumper but I have seen people make their own. If you want info on how to do it go to knight registries.com and then on the right hand side of the screen is knight technology. There is a step by step process on how to do it.

mounting scanner
mount it at the very tip of the nose just above the license plate and it will not damage the nose in any kinda way ,but the red scanner will get you pulled over and cited big time! ,so if you must you might as well go with the amber scanner cause its street legal!

this is an example of the scanner from the very first appearance of the first season opener
so if you plan on doing this you might want to think about buying another stock nose to hack up,so you can just do this!

I am starting to think it is just too much hassle for such little benefit. Besides, I still need to save for a new carburetor.

Without getting the replica nose it will look ghetto. Not worth your time of effort.

I got my Taylor red wire looms from them (great price). I bought my Distribution block, 4 and 8 guage wires from them for the stereo. I have a amber kitt light on the dually and a red one on my bird. I also have a set of cross drilled/slotted rotors that came from them. Also they set Street glow and APC products.
I have bought $100s of dollars in stuff from them and never had a single problem with quality or service! You just have to pick and chose and know your products.

Here is where I put my kitt light...in the lower gfx. The piece was from the junk yard and was torn there anyway, so it seemed the best place to put it.

I like that one on the thirdgen thats grafted into the stock bumper. Its perfect.
I am not liking the 4th gen one either. Doesn't seem to fit somehow.

That is definately not the place for a 4th gen light. It looks like it breakes up the curves too much. It should go right at the curve of the nose or something. Anywhere but under the ram air like that. I really, really like your car, redraif. I went to your site. You have some really nice mods on your car.
I think I am going to look for some ground effects at the scrap yards to put on mine now. The look yours has at the front is nice. I want a ground hugging nose like that. I'm not up for grafting the front spoiler, but it would be great, if I could do the work like that.
Thanks for all your replies too, everybody.

I feel the same way about the 4th gen. I agree that it just breaks up the linestoo much.
