anyone know anything of the quality of his glass hoods? i need a 5" cowl for my bird and he's the only place i have found one.

 

in my own experiences, Hawks is awesome, i got some body parts from him when i crashed my baby and he came through very well for me...as a matter of fact the body shop that was fixing my car was waiting for me to get some of these parts (we had a deal worked out, family friend, long story) and had started to give me some deadlines, so Bruce (i think thats his name) went out of his way to get my parts and overnight them for early A.M delivery so i could run them over to the body shop first thing in the morning..very nice guy and very helpful, hes not out to rip anyone off, just loves 3rd gens like the rest of us

 

sweet. i have emailed him a couple times as well as sent PM's on getting a shipping quote to my work for a hood but never got a reply. just haven't got around to calling him yet. thanks for the info.

 

no problem...im surprised he hasnt replied to your emails yet hes usually pretty good w/ that, but i would suggest calling him because he only has himself and his wife working for him so he had a lot to do, but other than that, keep us updated

I called bruce earlier today about some seat covers...I had some more questions for him, so I emailed him around 6 EST. He closes at 5. He just called me at 10:00 and we talked cars for 30 minutes. he answered all my questions and more.

I can't vouch for the quality of the hoods, but be patient, and I'm sure he'll do whatever it takes to make sure you're happy.

He has just earned a new customer.

 

i bought the ram air II hood from him and it was just a gt auto hood. i dont know about the cowls though. as far as quality.. well the hood didnt fit as good as i would have liked, it had a juge gap on the pass. side and it was adjusted as much as possible. but bruce understood this and was willing to refund my money. he talked to me about the problem on his cell phone while he was in the grocery store with his family!!! talk about customer service huh? he deffinatly has my business in the future.

 

yep, Hawks is the best. I got all my interior parts from him (all plastics and the seats) for a great deal. His service is just plain awesome. He's got a customer for life here.

 

Bruce carries GT Auto and ASCD, possibly others too.

 

i did not buy a hood from them, but i have bought things like switched and panels of various types.. i was very pleased with their service they gave me, top notch in my book..

 

I just bought an ASCD SS hood for my 91 Z28 from Hawks....and I had no problems at all....fantastic company for 3rd gen parts.
